I upgraded from a Kanger Protank III (that was flooding, leaking, and driving me insane) to a Megatank that I really love. It's a relatively minor issue, but one thing I noticed is that because of the design, you can not completely fill the tank.Since some juice resides in the metallic base of the tank, there is still juice in the tank when it appears empty.

This picture shows my tank, right after I completely "filled" it. As you can see, it only appears to be 3/4 filled. Is there anyway completely fill the tank of a Kanger Megatank? IMG_3038.jpg

I noticed on the T3D (dual coil) and a DC Aspire that the center post is shorter than the T3/T3S single coil, where you can't fill the tank up as far with the dual coils for some reason. But even with the single coils, there is, as powerband explains, still an airspace but on the T3S it looks filled up but the space is near the mouthpiece and covered by the top chrome piece.

Indeed. the T3S was the predecessor of the T3D, both are really good clearos and actually I prefer using my T3S's ha ha!. I use both daily between the Aerotank and my drippers. sometimes its hard to choose :vapor:

I had some problems with the T3D duals on my Joye eGos. Took out 3 of them. Don't know whether I got a bad batch but not worth it for me to try out the others.... I can make the T3S coils fit the T3D tank, so not a total loss. lol. So I just went back to T3S and I have a bunch of T3's left as well. Actually like them better but almost no one has the coils in stock anymore :)

It's because they put the glass part at the top instead of the bottom. Simply flip it upside to see your levels.

There's a new something coming out, or maybe already is, called Silo. It looks like an Aspire but the glass is at the bottom, reverse of the Kanger. A bit on the expensive side right now, but that will change.

I did some inquiring on the subject and someone stated that have the air in the top of the cylnder help keeps the juice in the coils. That is why they warn never to take the top of first or it coupld break the glass due to the pressure that is built up. Not sure of it but sounded good to me

There is no pressure inside the tank. the tank is in a vacuum and acts much like a hummingbird feeder. the air space at the top and the juice in the bottom creates a vacuum as the juice is vaped out of the tank.
It is proper use to refill the tank when it gets down to the 1/3 level 1/4 full at the lowest. the tanks are designed to not be able to be filled to the 100% full level as there would be no headspace for the air preventing a vacuum from occuring.
