So i bought my first MT3 a week ago and a second just today, the first one started gurgling a couple of days ago. I'm not sure if its my inhalation technique or if i got a bad seal. im running Halo Longhorn on an ego twist, it doesnt seem to matter if i run it at 3.7v or 4.8v the only thing i notice on the hotter voltage is that the vape is hotter. any help for a noob is greatly appreciated.

You may have a problem with vacuuming;or , and i am not sure on this one because I dont own one, there may be more than one wick. This video below shows some tips on keeping it from gurgling:
Fighting the gurgle in the Kanger Protank eVod and T3. - YouTube

If its an extra wick, you may try removing it and see if that helps. I believe some of the bottom coils have 2 or 3 wicks. Only one is inside the coil, the rest float on top. You can remove them simply by unscrewing everything(after emptying liquid ;) and just pulling the top wick off.

You could add an extra piece then
i unfortunately dont have any spare wicking mat around to try

However,it could still be a vacuum issue
i dont think i understand the vacuum issue fully, is there not an equalization when not vaping?

merrick, just my good guess :D. I am still brand new to e-cig

Steeledragon, you can think of it as there are 2 chambers in your MT3. The inner most is the coil. Outer chamber is for holding juice. Juice is getting into the coil chamber through the wick. When you vape, you are sucking smoke into your mouth, and you are also sucking juice from the juice chamber into the coil chamber. If it's about right, juice will go through enough to stay on the coil (in the coils), but if there are too much juice going into the coil chamber, it will flood the chamber. This is the case when you hear gurgle when you suck.
If wick is loose at the mounting hole, this is happening. The hole will allow too much fluid to go in. If the wick is jam too tight at the mounting hole, it will take too much time for juice to go through. It has to be right in order for the clearomizer to work right.

I have several standard T3's. What you are getting is a little vacuum pulling more liquid in than necessary, but the biggest part is from condensation, have to remember how far the vapor is being pulled up, so it cools a bit. Unscrew the coil cap, blow through the bottom to clear that out. Tank assembly blow through the bottom, or what I do is run a pipe cleaner up through the tank tube after blowing it out. Thicker liquids could help as well, full pg, go with a 70pg/30vg mix, if already at 70/30, go with a 50/50, etc. Might also, if you haven't, rinse and clean the head, even soak in water or maybe vodka for a couple to clean the wicks, then as mentioned above for removing a wick or 2, remove the coil tube carefully, pull the loose wicks away, attach head to battery after drying it, then dry burn the coil until the coil turns red even over its surface in 2 second intervals to burn off carbon and such that is insulating the max heat of the coil. After that, put the wicks, tube and top seal back on, coil head ready for optimum burn again. I'm new to vaping as well, and have settled on the T3/MT3 for most my all day/out and about vaping, so looked up and studied some things on the mainenance of these early on. Got 5 T3's in regular rotation, with 6 coil/heads, was 7, before 1 reached it's end of life expectancy, original head came with my original T3, 1.5 months heavy use on that one coil/head. Always after about 3/4 to full day of vaping on a single head would get the condensation issue of gurgling on a head, mostly collected in the head/coil tube, or tank tube, so these are just pointers from my experience and hope they help

I am not 100% sure if I fixed this problem on my MT3 yet but this is what I see. The MT3 came with silica wick, they all do right? I switched to use hemp wick. With hemp, I felt that it doesn't wick well because I don't have that much smoke, not as much as I like. So I tried cotton ball. With cotton ball, the gurgling was very announced. I switched back to hemp, it was hard to get smoke again. So, base on many people on this board, I boiled the cotton balls, and squeeze them when I am done, before I left it to dried. After it dried, it's not normal cotton anymore. It stayed squeezed and harder/tighter. I tried it again with these tight cotton, and squeezed/pressed the best I can making it into a wick. All day today, I had more than 1/2 tank of juice and I didn't vape at all today, until night. No leaking. Very minor gurgle, but it's completely gone after I burn it for couple seconds without sucking. I think cotton balls wick might works well.

Get into a habit of taking prime puffs--slow drags without activating your battery button. That action removes any errant air bubbles from the tank and draws eliquid onto the coil. I do this frequently, it's become second nature. One puff or two--now and then. :)

I just wanted to say thank you to Katya! As I was reading this thread, looking for a fix to the same issue with my MT3 that I've been using for 2 1/2 days, and that "prime puff" absolutely did the trick! Instantly. No more gurgling and spitting!

I Take out all the rubber o rings and the atty and soak them over night in vodka then rise thoroughly with warm water the next morning. Let it air dry then reassemble with another little strand of wick packed under the post. It more than likely is a vacuum issue unless you are using straight pg thin juice- in which case you definitely need a thicker wick
