Kanger Protank/100% VG issue

Hey im using a Kanger Protank with Boba's Bounty 100%VG.

It seems to work well, but i have this issue where once i refill it will taste great for the first 2-3 hits then all of the sudden taste muted and a bit burnt.

then after letting it sit for a little while(30 minutes-an hour) it will work great until I go to refill again. I'll open it up, add juice, close it back up and it hits great for 2-3 times then starts to taste funky again. give it a second and the process repeats, 2-3 good hits then odd taste..

usually if i let it sit for a while it fixes itself for whatever reason, but today its been sitting for a few hours since i filled it and im still having the issue.

i've tried flipping over the silicone cap, and removing a wick, nothing has helped.

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

It's not wicking fast enough. Open the head and remove one (or more) or the "flavor wicks" (the wicks that sit atop the wick with the coil wrapped around it.

I don't have a protank but I've heard of these issues before. From my memory it seems to be wicking issues due to being a thick juice. Try 2-4 dry pulls without firing then let it sit for a little while then vape. Hope this helps.

in my post i mentioned i tried removing a wick, saw that Pbusardo video as well, still no help. I dont believe the juice is tainted because if i let it sit for a minute the hits taste great for a couple pulls.

The bottom section may be on too tight. Try loosening it. Not the knurled section connecting to the battery, but the smooth part just above it. Maybe a quarter turn or less. You should see see a bubble pop to the surface. Then it might work better.

i read that tip as well, and i tried loosening it a bit but i did not see a bubble come up, didnt seem to make much of a difference. thanks for all of the replies though.

You can add some water to you juice to thin it out a bit. 3-5 percent, one drop per 5 mls is 1%, start low add till it vapes right.

Loosen it more will help. Basically loosen till you see the air bubble rise. Then you know you are getting proper wicking. With these bcc's you need to have bubbles rising consistently every 1-4 vapes. It's almost like a juice control mech, tighten when vaping is done. Seems 3/4 turn is good but I also have plumbers tape in my threads.
