Hi all. Just a quick question. My kanger protank 3 tanks come with 2 coils and an extra little metal piece. I don't know what I'm supposed to do with that extra little metal piece? I've been vaping without it. Just want to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong? I'm new to vaping and I don't know anything about it yet. Thanks!

It will probably be a "beauty ring" accessory... to make the tank look better on an eGo battery.

I used them, because it made them more stable to be honest.

Ohhhh, okay. I'm using a MVP 20 so I don't think I need it. Since I've been reading about the threads getting stripped though I do want to be careful of that. I'll be changing my tanks more frequently probably as more flavors arrive. :)

im going to assume the peice your refering to looks similar to this?

it is used to cover ego threads, incase if your using this protank on an "ego threaded" device - not needed, but it helps make it look "nicer" and protect the threads

Welcome Puff2K :)

Yup, Beauty Ring. I also used them for stability when I was using a mod with the eGo/510 connector. Your 20W has the recessed 510 connector, so you're all good. I have a whole stash of them from all my Protank 2s :)

Thank you both very much! I am going to get a back up mod, I like the simplicity of the MVP 20 but the button and brick shape are just a little awkward for me. Can you suggest another comparable mod in the $50 range that's easier to hold and press the button? Thanks!!! :)

I have the iStick 50 and the iStick 30 that I've just added to my collection. The 50 is about the same size as the 20W, but its edges are rounded. The 30 is about 2/3 the width, and only slightly less battery life than your MVP20W.... They both have the recessed 510 threads so your PT3s will sit nicely on them. Check evape.us, sweet-vapes, and vapenw - I've bought from all three before and haven't had issues. There are other vendors out there - just check prices. All of these are internal batteries (i.e. when the mod dies, it's now a paperweight.) BUT, for simplicity's sake, I'm o.k. with that.

Thank you very much for the recommendations! It sounds promising. :)

I have the MVP 2.0, and as a chain vaper who switches tanks and flavor a lot (trying to find my daily juice and my extras) I ended up stripping the threads on my mod. Be careful of that! I've heard others have had the same problem, as it's not stainless. I got an adapter for my MVP, so if I switch it up alot I don't run the risk. Love the iStick 30W I just got yesterday by the way

Thanks for the tips! I'm leaning towards the iStick 30 too. :)

the newest MVP (3.0) is all new with a cool “trigger” switch now

- Ecig Box Mods

:)

It looks nice! If I get completely confused I might default to that. I at first was thinking about getting a second MVP 20 because I have one and like it but it's just a little awkward in my hand so the iStick looks good, narrower and more rounded. But the mvp 3 looks very nice! I'll look at more videos. :)
