Two things confirmed:
1) Drop test results...My pv with Pro tank attached rolled off the kitchen table on to a tile floor. No shattered glass, and it still vapes great

2) Used EVOD coil (I transferred the longer post from my original coil)...vapes great. I've heard from others that it will vape fine with the shorter EVOD post, but I figured they made it longer for a reason, so I just pulled the shortie off the EVOD coil and put the longer Pro tank post on it.

Edit: I spoke too soon. I was out in the sunlight and did notice a hairline crack from the drop, but it doesn't leak, and I've run several tankfuls through without any performance hit. I'll have to watch that crack though.

I took out one of the two flavor wicks, but I'm leery of removing the other in case it starts leaking. Using Flüx Pear juice.

The wicks can be replaced as well... so as long as you don't hurt them taking them out... they will go back in

Read here somewhere that Evod heads work great in the Protank. And it's true. And in fact I believe that they taste better too.
So far I'm loving the protank. No leaks. And it is probably the best built piece if kit I now own. Amazing it's at this price.

For anyone on the fence about the Kanger Protank, don't be. I've been vaping this for mote than two weeks non-stop and haven't had a single leak, flood or dry hit. Used both the protank heads and evod heads and both work flawlessly. I have yet to have experienced such a consistent, well-built device that has this much flavor, vapor, and reliability.
Seriously. The hype is for real.

I've had some dry hits but nothing problematic. It is super airy though, that is the only warning I'd give to someone considering it. (And if you taste metal, that could be an issue.) Otherwise it is an excellent, solid device.

Are you using it with the "beauty Ring"?
I find that it is much less airy when I use it with the ring.

Its been a month and still on my first two heads on both my tanks just take it out take that center PC out and the flavor wicks drop it in some vodka for a few dry it with a paper towel do a dry burn till its white and drop it back in the vodka wait a few min dry it put it back together don't forget the flavor wicks fill and vape

The air flow controller works on the holes in the threads, The channels have nothing to do with it. And Yes, they do work on the protank.

I was thinking of trying some silly putty on one of the channels to see what it would vape like. I know it would not be a permanent solution as silly putty gets flaky when it dries, but I haven't played with silly putty since I was a kid

One nice thing about the Anyvape CVI is that you can remove the top ring on the well and fit the Pro-tank and beauty ring on it.
Aside from helping with the airiness, it also acts like a lock nut making it very secure on the Anyvape and my Spinner. With it locked into place, I feel more comfortable sticking it in my pocket.

The tip I heard elsewhere about closing an airhole was to use plumbers tape. I haven't dug mine out and done it yet, but soon..

ETA: Not just cover it, but twist it into a 'toothpick' and put the tip in, then cut it flush.

I have had some issues with mine, gurgling and flooding, actually leaking out thru the bat connection. I solved that by removing the wicks on top of the coil and replacing them with a piece of cloth(wool)wick. Works great now.

I may try one of the controllers. It's a law with me, buy it. I don't mind the airiness though, I just take a long puff after letting my mouth fill up with vapor. Big TH. Kind of like squirting half a can of whipped cream in your mouth, but not.
I think I'm off track now and need to get to the pigpen. Castration day. For them, not me.
