P.S. I wasn't kidding.

The bad thing is I forgot I had ordered another one with another order and will be getting it tomorrow....ugh, hoping it will start performing better in a day or so.

Note to self, when ordering multiple items be sure to make a list of what you already ordered and most importantly clear your cart from items put in there last week that you may not need anymore....

Got my wife a protank a week ago. She was having problems at first. I don't remember what. But she removed the plastic cap from the head and has had no issues since doing this. Anybody else try removing the plastic cap and not touching the threads? I thought it would flood or leak. But Nada! She says its perfect!

If you want a tighter draw with your ProTank take a paper towel, fold it in half, tear or cut a notch in the fold the size of the 510 connection (does not have to be perfect) put it between you tank and the device, tear off excess paper towel. You now have the perfect adjustable draw for your protank. Snug it up a little for tighter draw, Loosen it a bit to make it airey. Free , Replacable , Biodegradable

With that said can somebody tell me how to get more than about 4 or 5 tanks used without the flavor and vapor just going down the drain

so I decided to do something about the tight draw on the protank. the thing doesn't wick worth a dam any how and was a waste of money but I was bored so decided to do some experimenting with the draw being so airy. here is what I did it tightens the draw up well.

I took a condom from a carto cut a strip that fits right into the underneath grooves of the tank.

then I placed it in the grooves of the tank. it really does tighten up the draw decently. I like plugging both grooves instead of one. not sure if anyone has ever tried this before but I thought I would share. it seems to wick a little better because now when you take a draw it draws more juice into the coil and less air. still has wicking issues, but its functional if I take 4-5 primer puffs before hand. I currently have no top wicks on top of the coil. with 1 or 2 wicks in it just burns with 50/50 juice.

here are some more pics

I also find the TH non existent and flavor very muted. how did this get such good reviews? I am so confused.

just an FYI on the Kanger Protank...

they are (or maybe were?) one of my favorite tanks, up until about 20 minutes ago. like a dummy, i put my ecig in my chest pocket. i was out doing a few things, and bent over to pick smething up and BAM!...OUT IT CAME, mouthpiece first on the blacktop and put a nice little nick in the mouthpiece rim. i thought to myself, no problem, its stainless, ill just polish it out a bit. i pulled out some 1400 grit sandpaper and started poising the nick. all of the sudden, the mouthpiece area i was polishing turned COPPER...what the h*ll?...polished a little more and it turned BRASS.....so these are NOT as advertized by many resellers 'solid stainless steel and pyrex" they are "pyrex and plated brass"...meaning ill have to likely throw this one away as i cant use brass. for some reason im allergic to it and it causes me blisters......goes to show you how devious and deceptive manufactures can be. i have a call into the place i ordered them from originally. when i spoke to them, they told me "they are solid stainless" a few min ago. i told them maybe they should pull one out and sand a little n it and see for sure.....hes supposed to call me back.....

Thanks for this tip!

I just tried it for heck of it and it quieted down the air to about half the noise and the draw is much better..

I like this tip quick and easy! :D

I have to say I just got mine and I love it. I have been a kind of love hate fan of Kanger products. I bought 4 T3's a few months ago and all but one leaked on me. The 4th one has been a champ to me and has gone almost 4 months on the same head. I tried the Evod and I really didn't like the airflow and it just stopped working after a couple of weeks. Fast forward to today and I just got my protank. Wow! It really feels like kanger is onto something. I will admit I like a more airy draw so to those who like a tighter draw I can see why you would be disappointed. The flavor is a little muted but not really anymore than most other tank/clearos I've tried. I love the vapor production it is the best I have ever seen outside of some RBA's. I have noticed a decent TH but then again I'm vaping french pipe tobacco flavor and in my opinion that has always had more of a TH then other flavors. All in all I am pleasantly impressed for a change. No dry hits and a nice look and feel to it as well as performance that stands up to all the hype around it.

Hi guys. So I got me a protank today on a whim and I'm not overly thrilled. Way too airy and flavor is weak. Crazy amount of vapor though. I am trying to modify the airflow, and will give it a try tomorrow after the "goop" cures and will report. If it's not way better then I am going to be sticking with my ibtanked carto tanks. Oh well 20 dollar lesson. I will give a plus on actual performance. It did work as advertised as far as seal and ease of use. Just no dang flavor. Put my ibtanked back on with same resistance carto, same juice (buttered rum) and flavor punched me in the face with the carto tank.

I got 2 of these yesterday, one is leaking like crazy from the bottom, I tried a new coil wick but same problem. The other unit works perfect. Has anyone else had this problem??
Suggestions anyone:confused:

Got my first protank and yes, leaking like crazy on my New Provari

I tried changing heads and though one worked fine, when it was time to refill, it started leaking again. NOT happy with the Protank!

Although many forum members insist that Protanks are a poor choice for flavor I actually find them far superior to other options I have at hand. All liquids taste better, more nuanced, and balanced in them than they do in my Vivi Nova or even on the IGO-L. Go figure. The cooler vape seems to prevent the heat and occasional burning issues I experience with the others, and in doing so allows the flavors to fully come through. ProTanks seems pretty divisive in that if you love them, you LOVE them. That's me. My 5th and 6th tanks arrived in the mail today. While I ordered an airflow controller out of curiosity, I also like the airy draw that drives some people nuts. I prefer the stock draw and don't modify my wicks, don't block air holes, etc. Stock is sweet for me. Haven't had any issues with leakage so I suspect that a) Kanger is facing some QC issues that need ironing out, or b) people are using poorly made clones without being aware of it. Maybe some mix of the two?
