Kanger ProtankII replacement head no draw

I purchased a protank II three weeks ago, everything works great, it came with two 2.5 Ohm heads both draw the same, I also got a replacement 1.8 Ohm head at the same time, it came in a cellophane wrapper.So I gave it a try the other day, and no draw totally closed off, it will draw ok if I unscrew the tank, but then it is kind of loose which I don't care for

I compared them and found that the replacement doesn't have the resistance marked on it, the threads that screw into the base are a little longer, and it sticks out below the 510 connector very slightly.

could the threads be blocking the air holes?
Could it be counterfeit?
has anybody else seen this with replacement heads?

I would like to get some more replacements but not if they're not going to work.

All of mine come in a blister pack of 5 in a Kanger box. All of the genuine ones have the resistance engraved on them. I only buy from an authorized Kanger reseller.

Not sure what's going on.

Is the very tip end of the 1.8 ohm coil slotted? (The part that makes contact with the center post on the battery.) It should be.

I have this problem with all replacements I've tried with the new silicone insulator. I have to trim then with an exacto blade or I get zero draw. Everyone I've tried so far I've had to do this. The older style worked no problem. I'd like to find a better solution though.

I'm having the exact same problem with a Kanger protank 2 using Kanger coils. No draw. I tried multiple coils, took the tank apart, cleaned it, put it back together; on my ProVari AO reads 2.8 ohms but when you try to vape off it, it produces nothing. I can hear it crackling...just no vapor at all.

i fixed mine, what it is, is that when you tighten it down the + pin gets pushed up in the base and swells out the rubber gourmet and cuts off the air flow. what i done was trimed my rubber piece down some around where it is flared out at and have had no problems since

the last 6 genuine kanger heads I bought did this. They need to address this in manufacturing as it is super obnoxious.

I bought some 2.2 ohm Kanger heads, and the first one out of the package I couldn't draw when screwed onto my SVD, I didn't even think about the rubber grommet at the very bottom...Im gonna try that and see what happens.

UPDATE: Ok, I did as described and trimmed the silicon insulator at the bottom, and WOW, what a difference!!! I guess they need to put tighter reins on quality control huh? Thanks for the tip!!
