I just watched pbursados Topbox video where he mentions the housing of SSOCC coil heads is made of stainless steal.

If that is correct I think it is a VERY welcoming change and I hope other manufacturers follow suit. I never liked the idea of juice getting in contact with (plated) brass.

Not sure I care, but to your supposition about the SSOCCs... yes, they're a stainless body.

The coils however, are various metals.
There actually is a SS coil model... it's the pink trimmed package with pink 0-rings on the heads.

There's a chart of them all floating around here somewhere.

Basically...
Red - NiChrome
Blue - Nickel
Pink - SS (316)
Black - Clapton coils

Because i've come across an awful lot of coil heads from different manufacturers. I can't tell by myself what exactly they are made of, but reading the forums and comparing them gives you some idea.

Here for example the Joyetech CLR head:
As promised: 100% plate on brass.
