Hi, you will not be able to use the sub tank as it was meant to be used with sub ohm coils with your unit. Your unit will NOT run sub ohm at all. I checked your specs of your device online and it will only fire coils from 1.0 ohms to 3.0 ohms. I believe the sub ohm coil in the sub tank is .5 ohms. It would not run that. However you could run the 1.2 coils in the tank. You could also use the RBA mode and build bigger coils as long as they are over 1.0 ohms. The drawback would be not being able to sub ohm. I think your unit could be powerful enough to run the sub tank ar the higher ohms like I was saying. If you don't mind not being able to sub ohm, then it should work alright for you on the higher ohm coils. I can't think of any other draw backs. The sub tank is a great well made tank that provides great vapor and excellent flavor and would be very much worth getting! I think your wattage will be enough to enjoy the tank. The most wattage I vape the sub tank with is 15. Although my unit goes to 150 watts. Other than not using the sub ohm coils, I can't think of a reason you shouldn't enjoy this tank using higher ohms. I do hope this is helpful and wish you the best! I would definitely give it a try. Just use a coil above 1.0 ohms. You should be fine.

What realsis said, but with paragraph breaks as she's steered you right. ;)

You'll be fine with the 1.2 ohm coils, rebuilding the 0.5 coils or building the RTA to a higher ohm in the iSticks sweet-spot. Consider picking up the mini version instead of the full size, as it isn't very mini and they've made a lot of good tweaks to the RTA section.

Thanks for that info, it's very useful. Being new to this, I'm gonna go out on a limb and ask, what would happen if I tried sub ohm on the i-stick and having dropped a decent chunk of change for mine and my wife's hardware, what's the cheapest I can get away with for sub ohm power?

Nothing would happen, it'd refuse to fire if you try to go below 1ohm. It's been awhile so I don't remember if it'll *read* the ohm lower than 1, but it definitely won't fire unless something is wrong. It can't handle the amps.

Right now the cheapest all-in that I'd be comfortable recommending is probably the istick 30w. But I'd seriously play with it on the 20w first before you drop cash unless you know you're after maximizing it, as there are plenty running them at a higher ohm and 15-20w.

I agree with all realsis's points and add another. The subs are very airy, which works well for those who inhale direct to lung but not for vapers who draw into their mouths. You can restrict the airflow by half-closing the single hole, but that's not a fixed detent position. Having bought a sub and being determined to use it I further restrict airflow with a narrow-bore drip tip, and it is currently mounted on one of my 20W iSticks, hitting the 1.2 ohm coil at 10W. That works for me.

I got a subtank nano today and i must admit this little thing is sexy. Feels nicely made and looks really nice. Im very happy with its ascetics. But oh dam this think hits my lungs and throat like fire even only with the 1.2 ohm coil! I prepared and got some 0mg nic juice and mixed down my 18 to about 4.5 nic and still. Oh dam. I cant even mouth to lung this thing with out serious burn. Im coming from a emow mega on my istick w/ 1.8 coil. Whats going on? Sorry im only 3 weeks into vaping.

You are correct, the little bugger will give you one heck of a hit.......:)

What wattage are you running it at, the 1.2 ohm coils are rated for 12-25 watts, if found that if you set it too low, it is actually harsher and weird tasting...try it at about 18 watts and see if it smooths out for you. I also found, that it takes a day or two to get used to these tanks increased air flow and larger drip tips...your draw adjusts automatically...mine did at least. I came from an EMOW Mega too :)

I'm loving my istick20/subtank nano. Just drop the 1.2 in, set it to 20 watts and BAM! Good clouds and excellent flavor at least for the first half of battery life. Starts to drop off after that. My only problem with it is that I can't tighten it down to flush, the ohms start to jump around. It went into low ohm protection mode in the middle of a drag more than a few times. I'm thinking of shortening the contact pin a bit. Anyone else with this combo having this issue got any advice?
