I had to stop analogs after 50+ years,I went to cig a likes for about 3 years and a few months ago finally istick20 and 30 and two aspire mini's.. Watching you tubers, they seem to really like the Kanger subtank even with the premade coil, some claim it's very close to the build coil...I really don't want to get into building but I read the flavor and vapor is amazing on that thing even with the factory coil...Anyone know first hand what a step it up would it be to go from an aspire mini to the kanger sub?....Thanks,Bob

I really like the subtank mini...flavor and vapor amount are much better than my previous systems...I use mine in the medium airflow position most of the time, and I have not had a problem doing mouth to lung, after about the first hour or two to adjust to the tank. I use the factory coils, prefer the .5 ohm coil and set it to the middle of the recommended wattage range...so about 22 watts. I rarely lung hit and love the subtank mini, although some say they cannot use it for mouth to lung inhales...

I'm 47 and not a cloud chaser. I like the sub tank mini a lot better than I thought I would. I do rebuild, but I like having the option to build or not. I have only used the 1.2Ω coil so far at the 2-hole airflow option. Flavor is really good. I will be trying the 0.5Ω coil now that I have an iStick 50w to use it on.

Either way, you have options and a RBA deck to use in case you change your mind on building. The Sub Tank Mini is roughly the same size as a Nautilus, and I have no issue with putting them on a 20w iStick. The 30w will make either look flush.

It sounds like you know enough to try an RBA(or rebuildable atomizer). Getting a kayfun lite clone will only set you back around the same amount of 30 or 40 USD. You don't even have to build coils at first as you can buy premade coils. Then all you have to do is buy some cotton to wick and I can guarantee you the taste is better. In general you will never get the same taste from any stock tank as from a rebuildable(RBA)

1 x The Russian 91% v2 RBA by Kebo
(Choose Color: Black)
◦ 2 x Japanese Organic Cotton - 4x Medium Pads
◦ 2 x Pre-Built Kanthal Micro Coils - 28 AWG (10pcs)
(Resistance Choices - 1.0 / 1.2 / 1.3 / 1.4: 1.3 ohm)

got these from evcigarettes.com. The Russian 91% is an expensive clone that you probably could easily substitute for a more modestly priced RBA on the same site. However evcigarettes is the only site I found that sells pre-built micro coils though I am sure you can get them elsewhere.

I just traded away my subtank mini because it had far too much airflow for me to mouth to lung hit it. Other than airflow it was great. Flavor was the best I've ever tasted (I do not drip or rba).

I have to agree with you there; I use the air flow control set to cover half of a single air inlet hole to get the draw I like.
I'm thinking of drilling a 1/16" hole in the fully closed position.

Just picked up the subtank mini yesterday. So far I'm loving it. Lots of vapor and the flavor is amazing. What I really liked about this tank is the ability to switch decks from prebuilt coils to a deck where you build your own coils. I've only used the 1.2ohm coil that came with the tank so far and it works amazingly good. Looking forward to building my own coils now.

Ive got the Kanger sub tank..Not the mini though, yet anyways..soon..

I really like it..you can squeeze the air off as much as you like with the ring or have a real airy draw..
I use it and a couple of Atlantis tanks..
I use them from 7w all the way to 30watts..I could go up to 75 watts if i wanted on my mod,but anywhere in between 7w and 30w, it all tastes good to me with the four flavors i'm vaping right now..

I like the Kanger better because it has the rebuildable deck and it does hit a tab bit better with the stock coils..
