I apologize for starting a new thread for this, but my question got buried amongst the other discussion in the Subtank Mini thread.

So, here it goes. I don't like the standard drip tip that comes with the Subtank Mini. I prefer something like the Smoktech Mega Pyrex drip tip, but it doesn't fit the Mini quite right. I doesn't seat against the top of the tank, wobbling around, and for some reason it allows residual e-liquid that normally sits in the bottom of the drip tip opening on the tank to leak out onto the top of the tank. Of the limited drip tip selection that I have, the only drip tips that seem to fit properly are ones from other Kanger products.

Is there a line of drip tips that fits these tanks properly?

Other than it doesn't fit right, I like everything about the Smoktech Mega Pyrex drip tip. I like the smoothness of the pyrex, I like the size of the hole, I like that it doesn't change temperature with use, I like the external size of it (I don't know the actual diameter, but it is smaller than the stock subtank drip tip, but larger than many others), and I like the fact that the metal portion matches the finish of the subtank.

Subscribed...I have the same issue with the Pyrex drip tip I picked up locally, It's springy on the Subtank. On the bright side it fits my eGo One tank perfectly. I'm pretty sure it's the same as the Smok Mega? I'm going to try a double o-ring style next although I haven't seen one in Pyrex.

That looks exactly like the Smoktech Mega Pyrex that I have. I have been looking around for a double o-ring that is similar, but I haven't found one yet. If I find one I will order it and post here as to whether or not is fits properly.

I think the problem with the Smok Mega is that the o-ring is to big. I may try swapping the o-ring from the Kanger drip tip with the Mega to see if it helps. The Kanger drip tip has a great fit, it almost snaps together.

Already tried that. The Kanger o-ring is even bigger and won't allow me to insert the Mega Pyrex drip tip into the hole. The problem seems to be that the Kanger tanks have a groove cut into them for the o-ring to seat into. This grove is very shallow, causing the Mega Pyrex drip tip to pop up so the o-ring will seat into the groove. The depth of the hole in the tank is not the problem. The tip will drop all the way in without the o-ring on it.

Well you just saved me some time with a pick. :thumb: Double o-rings next....

I have been looking at this one. It looks like the o-ring is further down, so it won't pop back up into the groove in the tank. The problem is that it is not cheap. I'm thinking about giving a clone a shot for $5.99. If it works, I may consider the $25+ for the real innovape silencer pyrex drip tip.

I don't like the Subtank Mini drip tip. I find it too wide. The chimney has a much smaller diameter so I don't understand why the drip tip has to be so wide. Anyone find a smaller diameter drip tip that fits?

If you have any other Kanger style tanks, the drip tip should be interchangeable. The drip tips from a Protank Mini 2 & 3 both fit the Subtank Mini flawlessly. They may be more of what you are looking for.

The subtank driptip size does seam a little off. I don't like the stock one either. My nautilus driptip is too big :( At the moment i have the tip from my lemo in it and feels a little better. I don't have many driptips to try out, I think ill head to my local B&M and see if i can try them in it and find something else i like.
