The subtank driptip size does seam a little off. I don't like the stock one either. My nautilus driptip is too big :( At the moment i have the tip from my lemo in it and feels a little better. I don't have many driptips to try out, I think ill head to my local B&M and see if i can try them in it and find something else i like.

I had to go through almost all of the tips at my local B&M to find one that fit...actually...thinking about it, I had to do the same with ones for my emow tanks as well. I finally found 6 that fit. 2 are long for my STM and STN - one metal.

I've ordered one of these tips...

They come with two glass tips that attach to the base, one short 12mm and a longer 15mm glass tip.

I tried another glass tip, and had to change the gasket with the one that came with the included tip from the Sub Tank Mini, and then it fit fine, but it came apart after a week! The glass portion that was glued down to the stainless steel base, came loose and separated. The store exchanged it for another of the same type, and it also lasted only a week.

The one shown below, the glass is held down with gaskets, not glue and you can exchange them, or, if they break, purchase new glass tips for $3.00.

Hope they work, as that's my only gripe about the Sub tank mini... LOVE it, but the tip gets WAY too hot for me!

I'm really thrilled with the Kanger Sub tank mini and nano, on top of the ELeaf IStick 50w... just a fantastic combo, that lasts me all day! Now if I could just find a great drip tip, preferably glass or Pyrex, I'll be all set!

Lucky you! Many of us don't have local B&M stores. We have to rely on the internet to answer these questions. If I think something may work, I have to buy it, wait for it to arrive, and then try it out .... just to find out that it doesn't work for my needs.

I have been looking at this one. It looks like the o-ring is further down, so it won't pop back up into the groove in the tank. The problem is that it is not cheap. I'm thinking about giving a clone a shot for $5.99. If it works, I may consider the $25+ for the real innovape silencer pyrex drip tip.

This drip tip looks great but the o-ring sits low just like the Smok Mega. The o-ring groove on the Subtank is shallow, hence the problem. I guess it's worth a shot though, let us know if it works.

Actually, the o-ring sits significantly lower than the Mega. Because of this, I am hoping that the o-ring will sit nowhere near the groove in the Subtank and, therefore, not pop up into the groove. I ordered a clone ebay and I am hoping it will be here by the middle of the week. We will all know at that time.

I hope it works, I like pyrex as well! :toast:

The $5.99 innovape silencer clone showed up yesterday. It fits very nicely with almost no movement or wobble. I have been vaping for a few hours now and I don't have any leakage around the tip either. It is a bit bigger around than the Mega Pyrex, but not too bad. It does get warm on longer hits, but not hot. I would assume this is because the glass is thinner than the Mega Pyrex. It is also more open than the Mega Pyrex, but I didn't really notice a difference during use. One thing that I really don't like is the fact that it shows all of the condensed e-liquid inside. I guess that is a product of the larger diameter chimney.

Overall, at this point, I will say that I am generally happy with this drip tip.

Vapor Shark has released a new drip tip called the Uncrustable.

They sell it with either one or two orings, and recommend getting it with one o-ring for use on the Kanger Sub tank.

It supposedly doen't get all gunked up when using it, having a special type of finish similar to that used on frying pans!

Rather reasonable, at $10!

I have one on order, should be here in a day or two. If anyone's interested, I'll let you know how it is.

all kanger products will not fit dual o-ring tips. I wish they did since most of the good ones have duals. I had a cnc guy make me a custom one with one o-ring. it is a little loose in any kanger. it is probably the best tip I can get with one o-ring though. I have no idea why aspire fits anything but kanger does not. not sure why they did not think to make it deeper. oh-well because the subtank with nickel is better than the atlantis imo.

I don't like wide bore tips.. I use the tips from my GS Air tanks, I like shorties on those- take the oring off, and using some sand paper, I took down the bottom diameter to fit the subtank, oring back on and it just snaps right in. doesn't wiggle or wobble and perfect height and diameter for me!

Well I ordered one uncrustable. They don't get hot like the Kanger ones do they?

Its been a while since I've used the OEM ones but I haven't noticed it being an issue. If I take a super long drag and my lips are all the way down on the mouthpiece then it can get warm. I'm vaping .6 RBA coils at 30 watts with 90vg. 3 and 6mg
