Hi guys! New to the whole vaping scene. I currently have a 30w istick mod, im on my second coil that came with the tank (not the rebuildable) im at 14.5 watts and the coils at 1.6 ohms and i am just getting a ton of juice popping up through the mouthpiece while i inhale and its absolutely horrible. I made sure i didnt get any down the tube and the coil is on nice and tight, any solutions?

try using the 2 air holes or even the large slot air hole, maybe you're getting too much restriction causing flooding?
I have 3 subtank mini's and do not have that problem...your wattage is fine, I run my 1.2 ohm coils at about 18 watts and the .5 occ coil at about 22...sounds to me like something with the tank/coil is not assembled properly, assuming you did not overfill the tank.
I'm having a similar problem with my Subtank Nano using the 1.2 ohm coil. I have it paired with the eGo One battery. When I first fire it pops and spits, I tried the .5 ohm coil and no popping or spitting. No drips down the center tube and it's not overfilled, so I'm hoping it's just a bad 1.2 coil in mine. Have you tried a new coil?
there's no 1.6 stock coil. where did u get the coil

My Subtank has been great with higher VG juice. Broke open a new bottle of max vg juice today and the coil flooded. I was scratching my head as this has never happened before. Turns out they made this juice 20% VG and 80 % PG! It was flooding because it was wicking way to fast. To compensate, I've opened the airflow all the way and take very light draws light draws. this will get me through until the replacement bottle arrives.
it shouldnt be to high of watts - i was running mine at 20 watts no problem. It could be your not running the coils hot enough so your pulling more juice. Have you broke it down and rebuilt it again. I also talking with the fullsize subtank. Which my wife uses now. I went to the Atlantis and I like it better IMO - cheers
it was the one that came with it (not rebuild-able). Well now the problems seemed to solve itself, after vaping for a little while taking light draws the leaking problem is over. however, now into another, my draws now taste quite smokey, i'm using buckshot m-80 80/20 VG PG. I have only been using this coil for one or 2 days. Should i try dripping another couple drops of liquid on it?
EDIT: my apologies, it is 1.2 ohms not 1.6

I had the "juice spitting issue" as well with the 1.2ohm coil. Haven't worked with the rba after my last mega fail with it again, but my solution for the spitting (and super hot vape) was actually to get a long drip tip. Works fine now. Still sounds like it pops, but it's only once when I first fire my iStick to draw. I'm using it at 14-15 watts.

I had a horrible build on the rba deck...not going into details, but I ended up with a 'smokey' taste (not at all compared to my Laphroag 18 year single malt - that's at least enjoyable - lol) no matter what juice I put in. I ended up having to take the tank apart, wash it several times in hot water and dish soap, then soaked it in hot water before I got rid of the 'not even close to scotch' flavor. lol. Now I have Obsession's Passion flavor (Strawberry Custard) in it and it vaped like a champ with great flavor. I'd try giving it a good washing and starting with a fresh coil.

will do, ill probably pick up some more sub ohm coils soon, i dont think ill bother picking up the rebuild-able, i unfortunately have nowhere near the required amount of patience to do so hahaha.
Your tank is flooded. All you have to do is put a tissue over air hole (so you dont get juice in your eye like i did) tilt your head in the air and blow kinda hard.
