my subvod battery calls for 500 mah charging. I don't have any chargers under 1 amp. Can my 1 amp be used to charge it on a regular basis. Some people say its fine and others say no way
Amps are "pulled, not pushed." 500mA is the amount your battery requires. 1A (1000mA) is the amount your charger is rated to provide. If you tried to draw more than 1000mA, then you'd be in trouble, but drawing less than what they're rated for (as is the case here), shouldn't be any problem.

Yes. In fact, the higher the wall wart is rated for the better. It'll heat up less. The actual charger is in the mod, the usb wall wart is only an adapter.
I don't know much about batteries, but from what I understand it's better to have a device that requires 1 amp or 2 amps instead of 500 mah, because it will get more juice and charge quicker, is that correct?
