OK I bit the bullett and tried the new T3's and I have to say they are pretty damn good. I was skeptical about the bottom coil idea but was suprised at how good they work. There a PITA to rebuild, but are doable. The question I have is getting 1.8 ohms after rebuilding one. I wrapped it 6 rounds with 32ga and barely got 1.5ohm. I even wrapped one with 34ga and got no better than 1.5ohms. What did I do wrong? I used thwe same wire I use on my Vivi Novas at about the same length of wire and got less ohms? HELP, lol

You can try using some #400 mesh. Kanger said they are discontinuing the LR T3's. You can try Nichrome wire instead of Kanthal. I like the T3's exactly the way they are manufactured.

Boomer I'm actually using Nichrome not kanthal, lol. If some of the coil wires are VERY Close but not touching, will that cause it? I've been getting 1.8-2.0 ohms on Nova heads all day long with the exact same wire and wicks.

The only things I know of that change the resistance of a piece of wire are the wire type, gauge, and length. If you're using the same wire, the length has to be different. I would try Kanthal A1 wire. It has a higher resistance.

same here,,and they usually last three weeks, iam so not going to ever try and rebuild one either,,i already tore one apart and i am not willing to fight with getting that silicone insulator\seal back in there !!! @.90 a piece they are disposable imo

I figured co ops,,but where on the ECF do i locate them ?

a friend from new jersey sent me a coop site,but when i punched it up the ecf told me that i did not belong there,,it confused the hell out me.

I am once again befuddled,,,,,,,i know!,what else is new.

Ive read somewhere that the number of wraps affects the ohms resistance,not sure if its more wraps = less or visa versa,im kinda new to this rebuilding clero`s.

Co-ops are where it's at if you want something below retail prices.

More wraps will give you higher ohms, the gauge of the wire also plays a part.

Will A Kanger 3 work ok on a ego c battery,its not a twist or a spinner,but i can change the volts from 3.1 to 4.1 by clicking the power button.

Yup T3's are ego threaded so it should work.
