I have a Kanger T3 which I brought out of the box today. I hadn't used it for awhile and thought I'd try it again. Now I'm recalling why I stashed it away. It has a horrible plastic taste, I'm not wild about the mouth piece, but that's connected and there's nothing I can do about that; and it seems so airy. I'd like to know if anyone else has noticed a plastic taste and what you've done to cure that. I bought some extra heads for it and would like to keep it in circulation but compared to my mini vivi metal tanks I'm just not liking it. Also, can I do a Pro tank on a spinner or is it too top heavy?? I keep hearing what a clean taste the Pro tank provides and would like to try it as I have a bunch of tank cracking juices and would like a tank I can actually see through. Thanks for any help. Sorry if this has already been addressed in this sub forum but I'm too tired to weed through all of the threads.:(:?:

Have you tried washing the t3 tank out? Maybe that could help the flavor? Yes you can use the protank on a spinner and yes its top heavy, but I have had no leaking issues with my protank so its relatively safe to lay down.

The protank replacement heads are cheaper than the t3 and they are super easy to rebuild if so inclined.

The ProTank, being pyrex, should have no problems with any destructive juice.

The T3 is not glass, so that may be the problem. Rather than "cracking" the tank, the juice may be dissolving some of the plastic from the inside.

I use both on 1300 and 900 Spinners (and others), and they work well. Yes, a bit heavy on top, but I use a lanyard, and they do hang tip up. Remember that the Protank is also a bottom coil unit, and will have a similar draw. There are easy remedies for that.

Yes, I've washed it out many times, dry burned, and reused. I don't use tank crackers in it. Hmmmm?? Maybe a distilled H2O/vinegar soak? I dunno.....just don't like that plastic taste. I'll order a Pro Tank for sure, probably a vamo too. Thx!!

It might be the juice. I hated my first t3 because of the plastic taste, but it turned out it was just a certain RY4. The juice is one of my favorites, and tastes great until I fill up a t3, and then all I taste is plastic. When I switched flavors, my t3 tasted great.

Thanks! Good to know! I tried it with MBV butterscotch, then peach.....not good....

What methods did you use to clean? I managed to get rid of the taste by boiling my T3s in distilled water for 10 minutes, using a small strainer to keep them off the bottom of the pot, then soaking the top tank portion in a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and distilled water for 30 minutes followed by a rinse in distilled water. Dried the coil heads on a tray in the oven at 180°F in 3 minute sessions until they were dry.

I just rinse them out with warm water, but I'll try your method. Is there any reason why the coil heads can't just air dry?? Thank you.....I was thinking along the lines of distilled water and white vinegar.

That awful plastic taste, is why my EVOD is just sitting in my vape case now, not being used. Tried cleaning it with water, giving it a 12 hour vodka soak, rebuilt the coil, everything. And the vanilla juice I use in it, I know how it's supposed to taste, and it's NOT like plastic.
I guess that's just how it is every now and then, a clearomizer can be the talk of the town, but it all comes down to personal experience :)

No reason you can't air dry the coils, I am just impatient and didn't want to wait 24 hours for the air dry :D

TBH, I think the vinegar/distilled water soak in combination with the pre-boiling did the trick, because boiling alone didn't help the first time.
