Kanger T3s Firing Issues

I recently bought a Kanger T3s and also bought an extra head while I was at it. I loaded it up and it worked fine for a few hits then nothing. It stopped firing. I unscrewed it from the battery and put it back on and it fired intermittently then nothing again. Tried to really tighten it hard on the battery and it worked for a few more hits then it just stopped altogether no matter what I did. I decided that maybe I received a bad head so I switched it out for the extra one I purchased. It worked the entire night. I vaped through about 2ml of juice then it started giving me issues again. I've tried other clearos and this one has worked the best for me so far, but I just don't understand why it keeps dying on me. That's a total deal breaker for me.

I'm using a true joyetech eGo-C 650 mAh battery running at 3.3v
The juice I was using was Halo TriBeCa so nothing thick at all

Any ideas as to why this is happening? Could I have received two bad heads by chance?

Most likely the Vivi Novas have a little longer 510 threads and it has pushed the batt connection down on your egos. Take a knife or similar device and pry up the center post a tiny bit on each side and it should work. If you switch back and forth between Vivi Novas and T3's you will have to repeat this procedure each time you use a T3.

So, just as an update. I've used a knife to pull up the battery head on the ego, no help there. I used some needle nose pliers to pull out the contact on the T3s, no help there either. I finally took the base off the T3s and put it back on and it started to work again. After playing around with it a bit, I believe I figured it out. When I screw the base on, then loosen it just a bit, it works. If the base is tightened all the way, it doesn't. What sense that makes? I have no idea. It doesn't leak at all, at least not yet, when I loosen it a bit but it does make me nervous having it in my pocket that way. I've had no issues since I haven't been tightening the base on.

I'm thinking I may have just received a defective one. I really like it when it works, so I may just pick up another and see if I still have the same issues. They're only $6 so mine as well give it a try.

Does the firing light blink at you when you tighten it all the way? It may be shoring out if you tighten it to much. This is usually caused by the resistance wire being a little to long where the positive pin is and trimming it helps. Run your finger around the grommet on the bottom of the head and see if you can feel the wire sticking out a little and trim it with some nail clippers.

Also sometimes there are just weird things that happen. I have a rebuildable dripper that shorts out on my mech every time but works great on my ego's and vamo. Go figure that one out. I think its just lazy and doesn't want to do low ohm coils.

Love the bottom coils personally, but they are finicky. I do have a mod, or few, and I always set to read resistance/ohms when using these devices. As I thread the Kanger on, I check the resistance constantly, and it will fluctuate as I turn the threads. When I get the right resistance reading, more or less, I stop threading. I may have other clearomizers that do the same thing, but the Kangers do it for sure. A quick rebuild will often fix the issue when it stops firing on you, just don't over-tighten, trying to get the connection. All that will do is lock the bottom coil on the 510/ego connection, requiring you to take it off upside down and sometimes with plyers. Keith mentioned it above, and he is right. Welcome, Vape On!
