Hello all. I have been vaping for a couple of weeks now and found my sweet spot for pg/vg ratio and all that.

But now I have a new problem which i didnt have when i first started, my tanks seems to be leaking from the bottom. It is mostly when i have them on my desk I keep them in a line and when i go to pick them up sometimes there is a ring of juice or even a rather big puddle of juice that has come out, they didnt do this when i first got them, could it mean my coils need to be replaced?

Also the other day it completely flooded my battery It wasnt hitting i took tank off and it was filled with juice, it didnt do any of this when i first started a couple of weeks ago.

2 possible issues.
1. You may have a gap where flavor wick is not filling the slot. Take of rubber grommet and look at it reinstall and see if still doing it.
2. Temperature difference. When it's gets warm (like in the morning) e-liquid gets warm and get pushed out. I keep my Bottom coil tanks upside down when not in use. Keeping them lying down also helps.

Cheers

Definitely try to keep them up. See if your bottom ring is tightened.
As far as your tank getting flooded, flavor wicks could be an issue. I've also found that elevation changes kill my carto's. I work at a ski-resort and almost every time I drive up, by the time I get there my tank will be some-what flooded if not engulfed, depending on the amount of juice I have in there. Sometimes PG/VG ratios have an effect on flooding as well.

If you don't have liquid touching the wicks, they won't be pulling liquid in. When I was using bottom coils I would keep them upside down if I wasn't going to use them for a while or when going through atmospheric changes. However, just a few hours in stable air (temp and pressure) should not be long enough to cause this issue.

Yes, it could be a simple coil change will fix it. It could also be, as others mentioned, just a move the wicks a bit to seal off any openings.

Many of the bottom coil devices can slightly loosen the coil / head from normal opening to fill. So check that the head it snugly tight.

Previous replies about the flavor wick being awry are also real possibilities. They can sometimes get pulled slightly off from contact with the tube, and sometimes go south just from normal wear and tear.

Also, if you've been using the same heads that long, you may just need to either clean and dry burn them, or replace them. As the coil gunks up, it gets harder and harder to get a good vape, so we tend to draw harder. That can pull excess liquid up the chimney, when then leaks out.

I just watched a video from the Vulgar Vaping Dude on the T3S and he had a fix and it worked. Take the rubber grommet off of an old head, invert it and slide it on the chimney so that it butts up with the one that's on your coil and then screw it back on to the tank. No leaks so far and it really vapes great now!!

thanks guys these are all very good suggestions, been messing with it all morning and now i cant get it to leak!

I might of gotten some on the threads when filling it up a couple of times. My plan is next time it leaks change the coil and see if it still leaks if not i know its the coil/wick if it still leaks then its something else.

I am going to try that rubber grommet suggestion too i have a couple coils i dont use since i switched to 2.5ohm coils

link please?

If you look at the video and see him screw the bottom onto the tank , there is a gap on the bottom also so what is happening is that your using protank heads in a T3 and they DON'T fit. You have to use T3 specific heads. Putting the inverted stem cap is the workaround for your T3 leaking and buying T3 heads is the fix.

make sure you are not getting any liquid in the threading of the actual tank. wipe it down with a paper towel or something when you're done filling

also check to see if both the rubber pieces are secured evenly

The smaller rubber ring on the base, nearest where the coil screws in, had a serious problem on one of my T3S tanks, though the other one has been perfect. I discovered that it wouldn't lay flat on its ridge, no matter what I did, and yeah, it leaked all over my iTaste vv3, the first time I noticed it. So I ordered a new base for it, and the problem is fixed.
