Hi all, so I've been using the new .5 vertical coil occ for a while now (mostly because I can't get my damn rba to wick correctly, new version in sight) and I love it. I've been running it at 28.5 watts on my istick 30w in my sub tank mini. I've been getting about three to four weeks of full flavor which is great. But I was wondering If anyone attempted to rebuild them. They're not like the old occ heads with the top that pops off. They're solid all around so was wondering if there's something im missing. Any tips, tutorials would help. If any pics of this too would be nice too. Also has any had they're glass tube chip at the top. Mine is doing so and I already have two little chips in my tank, which is irritating a little. any who thanks folks for feed back if any.

The left is disposable, the right is rebuildable. Notice the line on the right one, that's where you take it apart. Hope that helps!

Only the ones that come apart are rebuildable. If its the solid one, they are the disposable ones. I'll try to get a pic up for you.
I figured so but just wanted to feel out what others done I'll find my old .5 coil since I accidentally broke the threading off of the 1.2 trying to get get the top off

I did the same thing. Watched a few youtube vids to see that I had the disposable kind. My local b&m had rebuildables for 2.50 a pop, so I got 2 of them. I honestly love the RBA though.
As far as rebuilding the VOCC, I could never get it right...never could get good airflow. I actually just build them horizontally, like the old OCC coils, and I'm happier with that.

I'll fund my old .5 horizontal and give it a whirl, I can't get my rba to wick properly mostly because I run kinda high 25 to 28 and I tend to take long draws. I'm going to invest in the v2 rba which addresses this issue and will work for me, hopefully. Funny kanger tech finally caught on with the occ's and made them solid. I wonder if they will go back to the old shell again.
