I'll start from the beginning:

I bought the Kanger AeroTank last night (with a colored glass and different tip) and as of last night, it worked perfectly. Come to find out, the liquid I used was a custom mix I chose at the shop (peach and honeysuckle), but ended up not tasting very good. I poured the bulk of the liquid back into the bottle (from the bottom, of course). And then proceeded to take the tank completely apart to clean it. I cleaned every part EXCEPT the cartomizer and the metal ring that was attached (the air hole part), just ran water over the parts to get the juice off. Now I put it back together with different juice and it's not functioning. I push the button and I hear no bubbling/crackling and it does not work at all. What are some things that could be wrong that I need to check? Or did I do something wrong last night while cleaning?

One of the things that I have found to fix the contact on the Aero (if making sure the atomizer is tight does not fix it): Take the atomizer, flip it over and push from the inside of the tank down on the contact pin. Then flip the atomizer back and screw it in. It will lower the contact pin.

Also, the Aero tank often has a shorting issue if you over tighten everything. Simple solution. Tighten the airflow base to the tank all the way, then dial it back just a hair (not enough to cause leaking). It fixes the shorting issue

Wish I would have known to do that before I messed up my spring in my Deus Prism and my first attempt at firing a mech mod a couple weeks ago...

If the tank is in the upright position (510 connector facing down), you will want the ring to move to the right. As another tip, once you do free up the ring be sure to move it all the way to the top and rinse the bottom half and then move it to the bottom and do the same with the top. When I was using the AeroTank, I would clean the air flow base each time I changed flavors/coils - it seemed to keep the ring from getting gunked up and stuck. Also make sure not to tighten it all the way up or down - it's not going to block your airflow if you leave it on the next-to-last thread.

If you still can't get it free, you need to find a pair of needle-nose pliers and CAREFULLY try to spin it. Just note that it is very easy to strip the groves on this ring. It might also help if you took a lighter or torch to the ring to expand the metal making it easier to budge (if you do, be sure to remove your coil first). Best of luck!

Edit: Just saw the last post. It would help us determine what the problem is if you told us which mod/battery you are using. If it has the feature, try testing the atomizer resistance to see what's going on. If a new coil doesn't work (doesn't hurt to try), then it could be the pin in either the base of the AeroTank or on the mod itself.

Another issue with the Aero that I have discovered is that the airflow wheel has a tendency to get stuck if you turn it all the way to the open or closed positions. Be careful, but if you pad a pair of pliers, you can usually get it. For future reference, you can cover and uncover the holes completely without turning the wheel completely

Did you dry all of the water from the wick? ----------------- It's going to act like it's not firing if the wick is soaking wet with water. It's actually working, but if the wick is soaked with water it's not going to make any sounds or look like it's firing until it's been hot enough for long enough to boil off the water.

I'm using a Vision Spinner battery (1100 I think?). I'm soaking it in water now, couldn't get as hot as I wanted (I'm at work atm, had to use the office bathroom) but it should help, maybe. I think trying to unscrew various other pieces, I ended up tightening the wheel without realizing. My spare coil is at home, so once I get back, I'll try with that one.

I don't put it in water at all, not even to rinse. It's wet with juice, because the salespeople I bought it from said to prep it by wetting the wicked ends, before using.
