Kangertech coil question

I have a Kangertech emow. Depending on the e liquid I use, I'm getting about 4 -5 days out of a coil before it no longer produces vapor. I've read that some people are able to get a few more days out of their coil by rinsing it in hot water. I've tried that, but it doesn't seem to work for me. I've also read that some will soak their coils in vodka. I'm not a vodka drinker, so buying a bottle just for that purpose would be a waste of money. Is there another method I could try, or should I just not worry about it and throw them away when they no longer work? It would be nice to get a couple more days of use out of a coil, but buying a new pack of coils once or twice a month is definitely far cheaper than a carton of cigarettes once a week.

I'm new at vaping so I don't know if this will help but I have a Kanger T3D dual coil and came across this video on someone's method of cleaning it. I've used this method on my Kanger and it hasn't done any harm to it.

Give a kanger sub-ohm mini tank a try because it comes with a rebuidable part in which you can replace the wick and wire and reduce your costs significantly. The 1 ohm heads I read that they last quite longer too and it might be because they use cotton for wicking material. A down side for you might be that they are designed to intake a lot of air for vapour production and restricting it might lead to the atty not performing the same but it can also be that you want to produce big clouds of vapour so huge air intake might be for you. I would suggest not dry burning the heads, and here I'm referring to the heads used in the video Patricia linked because dry burning the newer cotton heads is just impossible. Anyway until there will be a study to show what happens to the wire itself after it's dryburned and if the changes in it's chemical properties because of oxidation are not affecting negatively the properties of the vapour, I will not dry burn any coil.

No idea if this will work with the emow, but I use the single coil heads in a aerotank V1, and rebuild them. The aerotank and emow normally use the same coils I believe, but still not sure the singles will work in the emow. If they will, recoiled and rewicked ones normally last me around a week before they need rewicked. Easily dry burned and wicked, then good for another week. Even if the singles wont work, take some of the duals you have that don't work and recoil them with a single, it's easy enough as long as you have an ohm meter.
