Are you saying the 510 on the Mod is loose or just that you can move the tanks around when backed off?

What you are describing is a center pin issue, like being flexed to one side and shorting to the tanks 510 threading. This will stop the mod from firing.

May clear up as parts wear in.
Another poster commented on the same issue using an EGO One with Kanger tank yesterday.

May clear up as parts wear in.

I've been noticing the 510 threads on my KBOX are wearing out insanely QUICKLY. They started out silver in color, leading me to believe they were machined from Stainless Steel, but after about a week, they're turning brass in color, and getting looser and looser, with metal shavings all over the threads. I've cleaned the metal shavings, and re-lubed the threads, but it wobbles a LOT now.

Now, my KBOX's wobbling seems to get worse daily, even with their properly lubed threads. Looks to be silver COLORED soft brass threads. I've been extremely careful, not over-tightening, ever, but this isn't helping. I'd like to replace the 510 connector in the KBOX to something more durable, otherwise they'll be trash in no time.

I tried taking it apart, but after removing the three 1.5mm hex screws I stopped, not wanting to break it. It seems like the firing button will need to be popped off, as well as the wattage-selector button, but I'll wait until it stops working to risk prying off those buttons, just in case.

I'm thinking I better get another, more durable mod now, for a back up when these threads inevitable wear out to the point of being unusable. I'm not too impressed so far, but at least it's still working (only 6 days old).
