I have a Kbox mini a
6183884848914849105
nd it was working fine until the hits started tasting burnt I looked at the coil, which is now one of those pre made one's and the cotton was burnt. So I replaced it with wulf premium japenese cotton and now the hits are splattering up oil in my mouth and it feels clogged so it doesn't really hit. What's wrong?

If you have a subtank nano, that can happen if you have the power up too high. Just make sure you pre-soak your wicks before putting the coil in the tank. Try lowering the power some. The clogged feeling is usually because of too much cotton. Make sure the cotton isn't clogging the channel. also, make sure your air intakes are set open. (I know, simple suggestion, but start with the basics first).

I tried the less cotton and lower wattage and the first hit was fine but then the 2nd became flagged and e liquid was getting in my mouth again

The air intake holes leak if the coil is not tightened down enough. That happened with mine and i tried tightening it more and it hasn't leaked since. As for the juice and the clogged feeling. It looks like you may be using too much cotton. When I wick mine I pull the cotton through and have enough hanging out to where it is even with the base of the tank. Try using less cotton and tightening the coil more and see if that helps.

To run the risk of confusing you...sounds to me like the problem may be too little cotton, not too much. It sounds like your tank is flooded (because of liquid popping into your mouth, as well as leaking out of the tank). You may want to try using more cotton than you did the first time. If it helps, there are YouTube videos that show the rewixking process, most will show or at least discuss how much cotton they use. Even with that, though, trial & error is normal, every time you work with a new tank or new build, not to mention when first starting out. Give yourself permission to "waste" as much cotton as you need, it's still cheaper than buying coils - for me, realizing that helped me keep my stress level down about the whole thing :)

Oh and for what it's worth, the "clogged" feeling can come from a flooded coil, too. It can also come from liquid having gotten into the connections between your tank & your mod, and messing up the conductivity, it'll just make the vape both feel & taste generally wonky. You should probably hit both the connection points with a q-tip and see if that helps any :)

I'll go ahead and +1 mamabear's idea there. Too little cotton will cause your coil to flood, making it leak out of the air holes. Too much cotton will create burnt or dry hits. There's definitely a learning curve; with my subtank coils, I just cut the cotton to roughly the width of the coil and try to pull it through the coil. If there's too much, there will be too much resistance. Too little cotton, it'll slide through with no resistance. Gotta find that happy medium. After that, put the cap on, pull it through the holes, trim near the outside holes and then tuck it in the holes.

Note: looks like way too much cotton in the pic you have there.

Hrm.. Next, I would check the seals. I would make sure everything is sealing right. If you posted pics of the atomizer, that might help a bit.. if you can, insert pics of it assembled and one with the base and top undone.

Oh my...checked in on the roomie's phone...now I see the pic!! Looks like wayyy long tails, did you wrap the tails around the base or something? I see now why people are saying that's what's causing your "clogged" feeling... But I still think, with liquid popping, you may have too little actually inside the coil. Tl/dr: lose the length, add some width lol
