Kangertech Protank 3

Mr @pbusardo has posted on his Facebook page that Kangertech is sending him a review unit for the Protank 3. I'm guessing it's just a top-filling version like their Unitank. How else could they improve it? I have never found a fault with my Protank 2

Not even sure why they are calling it the ProTank 3. Seems like the new addition is just the dual coil. That could have been marketed separately. Only thing I can think of is maybe they improved the base since a lot of complaints were made on how some people had no air flow on devices like the Provari. Then again, no need to make a whole new tank just for that.

I think the big thing is you can now fill from the top and the dual coils. i know i would like to have the extra juice...:)

I agree. They could have called it the 2.1 or 2+

Does anyone know where you can buy the replacement heads yet? All the places that sell the 3, doesn't have the heads yet. Also how do you get the heads in the protank II to last longer? Mine seem to be leaking after a while and then I have to replace the heads because they are leaking.

Got my PT 3 the other day. No problem with the coils so far, works best 4.2v+. Flavor is better than PT2, but vape production not so much. I've been using it at 4.8v though I've pushed it higher without vapor improvement and the vape was a little hot for my tastes at that point. Switched out bottom cap with a Tatroe tank bottom. Didn't improve vapor. A problem I noticed is that the securing grommet that sits on the post above the wicks can come pushed down a little a far making a tight draw and poor wicking. Take it off and place it back on so that it just sits on top of the post. The tip of the post through the hole in the grommet should be flush with the top of the grommet. When you screw the bottom cap/atomizer head back into the tank the grommet will be pushed into the optimum position. It's bottom filling like previous PT's. I haven't messed with the wicks in the dual coil head yet, (I always remove a wick in my PT heads) so maybe it will vape better once I mess with it some more. Right now I kinda prefer the PT2/mini/evod.

Edit: As far as the heads are concerned, they are available at MVS and direct from Kanger.
