This is my very first e-cig, and I will admit I'm kind of clueless. My friend helped me pick it out; I believe I have an eGo-T battery (it lasts a week) and a KangerTech Protank. I was assured that it's one of the best tanks you can buy. I loved it for the first week I had it. The woman at the store filled it completely with the liquid I picked out, showed me how to assemble it, and I walked out vaping beautifully. However, since I tried cleaning it myself I've been having serious issues with leaking.
I did not fill it completely because I did not want it to last very long; I got a few different flavors I'd like to try and only have the one tank. I've seen it mentioned briefly online that filling the tank entirely creates a vacuum and helps to keep it from leaking. Is this true? Is the Protank more likely to leak when the fluid level is low? I've been hesitant to fill it up entirely until I solve the leaking problem because I don't want to waste liquid.
Another question; could I have damaged the seals by screwing it back together too tightly? I assumed a tight assembly would be less likely to leak...
I store my e-cig vertically, with the mouthpiece down, because I was told that this would reduce the chances of leaking since it is a bottom-fed tank. I checked that I had all my seals before reassembling, and made sure not to pour liquid into the center tube. By the way, I know that gurgling means liquid has leaked into the center tube, but what about popping? Does the popping sound also indicate a leak?
Thank you!
