Sounds as if the coil is not making proper contact.
Now it is normal for the resistance to go up as the temp goes up. But this id not what you are describing.
Check your contacts both where the coil screws in and on the bottom where the tank attaches to the mod and make sure they are clean.
The coil is tight and I made sure it is clean and correctly screwed in but still the same problem
There might be a problem then with the 510 pin in the mod or the insulator ring on the bottom of the tank. Do you have a local shop you could have take a look at it?
The subox mini has a lot of complaints about the 510 post getting pushed in. If you screw the tank on too tight it's pretty much guaranteed to happen. You need to carefully pull the center post up just a bit, using a small jewelers screwdriver to pull/lift the center post up.
I have done that but it pushes back again. Is there anything I can put there to hold itit?
Chances are then both the post and any o-ring keeping in place got pushed down so far that you lost the o-ring inside. That's going to require taking the box apart - and that's where my input has to stop on this one.
