Hello all!
First of, I am finally a registered member of ECF since so many months ago i have been watching the posts on forums and I found this place to be so full of knowledge! From downright dummy till now i understood a little about being an electrician!!
I wanna post something about my RBA which is the kangertech subtank mini. i would like to get opinions from u veteran folks on what is the best setup for it? i am using a single parallel coil, 4wraps (8wraps if single coil) 3.0mm diameter with a 28g Nichrome coil. i learnt that parallel coiling makes lesser ohms and delivers better flavors. but there is a flaw with this setup which i am ok with, which is the air flow is lesser because ur diameter is bigger hence lesser room. and ofcourse for an rba u might burn the cotton with this kind of wick to draw ratio. to solve this i made the cotton shorter and not clog the hole 100%. just make the edges touch the hole with about 70% clogged. i wish i could post pics if i only knew how. this setup gets me up to 0.42ohms at 23.5watts 3.07v with aspire 2500mah Icr 20A battery. last ne about 2.5 days.
the coiling? it is another ......n story lol. to me when i forst started coiling i never torch/light the coils so i was irritated that the coils are not evenly close together and sometimes dont glow evenly. then i learnt from here that if u torch it as it glows u can adjust them to be close together and it would look perfect. so what i did i coil it with my coil master kit as tight as i can the torch it while the bit is still in the coil. as it glows i tighten it with plyers. then to screw it is another biggy, the subtank's screws tend to loosen up and ur screw will mildly tilt to the left or right so ur parallel coiling one coil is tight and outmost parallel coil would be lose. so what i did is one coil left and right of each side of the screw. once that is done i dont tighten the screw just yet, screw down a little so it wont move but not tight so it will still move by force. take a plyer and pull the coil while the coiling bit is still inside to retain shape. so the coil becomes tighter and uniform. i do this for both left and right screws and tighten the screw down as i go. the result of all this effort? a nice uniformed coil. glows evenly, lesser ressistance. the cloud? well not dense but sufficient 7/10 because airflow is restricted. flavor? 8/10 hands down. i have come to realize that for me to achieve massive clouds on this rig is a nono. but flavor yes if i made a 2.00mm diameter parallel coiling with 4wraps. that i can say 9/10. rdas go 12/10 lol. rdas are always giving 120% in quality vaping IMO.
so now mister, what do you think in ur opinion is the best setup for this mother....er?
appreciate the share people!
