thanks to point it out... i got the idea and in real life it almost like 45 º but yes as you said, it can be better.

now with this wicking style... i got good flavor and performance but it drinks juice a lot... i notice a tank run out much faster than my previous wicks... another issue is flooding... i can feel the wick have so much juice and the drip tip deposits a lot of juice as well... is this to be expected?
Turn up the wattage!!! You're wearing big boy pants now!

Alternatively you can ease off on your draw effort just a hair. That will draw in less juice from the tank and raise your coil temp a bit.

flooding, u probably need more wick touching the base but w/that pic of wick it would cause that.
im going to try another way of cutting my wick - my next rewick job im going to bend the wick down onto the deck(or slightly off to the side of deck) and cut the wick inline w/the deck horizontally. and i do thin out the ends and then i prime it(dry pulls) b4 vaping . will post pics when i do

More flavor and vapor have a nasty side effect of higher e-liquid consumption...

In addition to the above suggestions for the flooding, you can open the AFC a bit to reduce e-liquid feed.

I just tried a new wick style. I put in chunky through a 2.5mm micro coil and then I take the wick and divide it into thirds. I cut the middle piece about 2 to 3 mm from the end of the coil and the other 2 pieces get cut to just touch the deck and pushed into the corners. Not crammed in but just pushed to the sides. This way there is no wick in the middle of the deck to block the juice holes and the sides help the juice climb better. So far it's the best wick I've done. Flavor came stronger after about a quarter tank.

I'm officially over the STM's. Back in the drawer, maybe even the bin for them :(.

I got 3 new airflow bases and still the leaking.

The 3 airflow bases that came with the tanks I soaked, washed and left out to dry. Didn't give them another thought. Checked them last night and all 3 have rusted around the where the base meets the airflow controller.

Pity as imho these tanks taste better than the Delta but touch wood, no problems with the Delta.

I've got a Zephyrus in the mail and am thinking about trying the Freemax Starre.

It's sad. Once you start on these tanks there's no going back to a PT3 or Nauti Mini.

That's odd. The stainless shouldn't rust... Unless you got a hold of clones. That might explain the leaking too.

I purchased these from well known Aussie vendors I've bought from before so I doubt they are clones but never thought to check the codes so I'll do that when I get home from work.

I never figured stainless for rusting either but wondering if it's from something inside the base.

it was wide open... tank was drinking like crazy... i add more wattage and inhale slowly... there were still juice depositing on my drip tip and it's a lot after 10 puffs.

flavor and vapor top notch... but I can finish my tank empty within few hours

The liquid around the drip tip is caused by condensation and perfectly normal. More warm vapor hitting cooler metal/plastic causes more condensate.
