What resistance coil are you using? Are you using max VG liquid? What wattage are you vaping at? How often do you vape, i.e. chain-vape or a couple of puffs every once and a while.

I do not know a lot about the subox, but had an original subtank and still use the OCC coils in my Billet Box without any issue. Sorry for the 20 questions, just helps narrow down what the problem might be.

Hey dataton, im using 28 gauge kanthal which is around 1ohm. However has been fluctuating due to loose posts! Which i still have to figure out but that abother problem... using appx 70%vg 30pg liquid. I vape at 18watts. I vape once every 30 secs when driving or watching tv.

Can you elaborate on the loose posts? This could potentially be causing a short which would cause a harsh/dry hit. The fact that it happens in intervals and not all the time could indicate that as liquid and air move through the tank/evap chamber it is ever so slightly moving your coils because of the loose post which could cause a hot-leg on the coil.

Yeah the posts where the screw enters on each side, one of them seems to swivel left and right maybe 1/16 an inch either direction. It seems to be mounted on the center hole in the base and swivels on that. Not sure what i can do about wedging something one side to keep it from moving. Was thinking the point of a tooth pick and breaking in the tiny gap to see if it keep it steady.
