Kanthal A-1 or Kanthal D

Hi, i just purchased an odysseus that I will be using with a provari and a newly purchased gg stealth. Ive been looking on ebay in regards to kanthal wire and have found kanthal A-1 and kanthal D. Is there a difference in either types of kanthal? Also i would like to make a coil in the 2.0-2.5 ohm range. Any suggestion on what AWG of kanthal i should be using? aswell as any ebay link to what kind of NR wire i should be buying? Things are pretty tough to find in Canada.

I bought some Kanthal A 32ga. from Coinswiesiek off ebay, $3.75/75ft....been running 5 turns for around 2 ohms on my provari....

do you mind telling what type and size of no res wire you use?

For no res wire you are going to want either Silver, Sterling Silver, or pure Nickel. 30 awg Silver is great.

So would Alloy 400 Nickel-Matte finish in the 0.010" diameter work for NO RES, and Nickel Chromium-Bright finish in the 0.005" diameter work for Res wire? Please see link. McMaster-Carr
