I was wondering for the rebuildable atti's like Odysseus and Penelope I wanted to know the actual temperatures hitting the coils. I guess they may depend on how many ohms and volts being used. so in the scenereo below

2.5 ohm @6v
3.0 ohm @6v

What are the temp roughly?

reason why i ask is that the Kanthol D 36 guage wire is on sale. the issue I read is that everyone prefers A1. The only difference I can see is the temperatures unless someone knows something else.

Kanthal A-1 (wire)Temp C/F 1400 (2550) Resistivity at 20C/68F 1.45 (872)

Kanthal D (wire) Temp C/F 1300 (2370) Resistivity at 20C/68F 1.35 (812)

Anyone knows besides temp is there anything else? Would Kanthal D be safe to use at 6v and can it be used at 11volts etc.

I think we avoid Kanthal D because it gives off a flavor while vaping and Nichrome is ok but tends to use more wire to get the ohms we want than it takes to do with Kanthal A.... hope that helps a little...

WOW your a life savior i almost bought the wrong thing. That does help, question is it possible to make a 3ohm out of Kanthal A1 32gauge. if so maybe you can pm me the info. thanks

WIRES.CO.UK E-CIG IATTY ATOMIZER WIRE

When I saw that they made a special link for Iatty wires I gave them some instructions today. I told them to carry the semi soft silver wire too, kanthal a1 and kanthal d.

I am a little surprised by their move on this. But as I see it they are people that they really want to serve their customers
