I have a Fireluke 3 tank, and I love it. But I've been wanting to play with temp control on my device (Vaperesso Revenger X). I have tried several times using the SS TCR for 904L stainless, tweaking the tcr up and down, tweaking the max wattage, but cannot get anything like a real TC flow.

So, my question, is there a Kanthal or Titanium coil for the Fireluke 3 tank? Is that even a fair question? Should I just try a different tank? Is my device the problem?

Lots of questions. But anyone's opinions or assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Glenn,
in my experience, drop in coils/heads are very inconsistent in TC mode.
I have, in general, been disappointed overall with the TC performance of stock firmware devices.

I have had the best success using an RBA or an RTA and SS304/SS316/SS430 or Ti.
It should be noted that my good TC experiences are limited to eleaf devices running AF software. (No DNA/Yihi/Dicodes budget)

So, what you are saying, is I need to start over from the ground up, and purchase a device designed around TC. I have had several RBAs in the past, and I'm a little done with that. I haven't used a RTA in a while. I may look at that again. It's disappointing that no purchasable coils that work well with TC.

I have never used an eleaf device. I will start researching there.

I certainly have not tried EVERY battery device nor every drop in coil device, so I am only voicing my experiences.

TC set-ups benefit from solidly anchored coils.
The construction of most drop in coils have the legs simply "trapped" between a rubber/silicone gasket and the body of the coil head and/or center pin. IMO, far from ideal.

Perhaps others have had more or better success with a device or tank/dripper I have have not used.
Before starting from scratch, poke around a bit for reviews and feedback on the TC performance of the equipment you have in hand. Sometimes the answer is simply to adjust the TCR or wattage or temperature settings to get the best from the device and topper combo.

Full disclosure, I vape a mech squonker/RDA-Rayon wick, on the daily. TBH, I am very satisfied with the "shape" of my vape and CBA trying to fix what ain't broke.

Sally forth!

Cheers
