Looking for 30 gauge but got a bit confused when I saw this:
Kanthal A1 Heat Resistance Wire - 0.3mm Diameter (300 Micron or 28 AWG) - 50 Metre Spool
Am I right in assuming that this is the wire I'm after, the 28 AWG has thrown me somewhat. I'm aware that AWG stands for American Wire Gauge so should I be getting one that says 30 AWG instead? If so, that brings another question, lol. Do I buy 250, 270 or 280 micron wire?
Kanthal A1 Heat Resistance Wire - 0.25mm Diameter (250 Micron or 30 AWG) - 50 Metre Spool
Kanthal A1 Heat Resistance Wire - 0.27mm Diameter (270 Micron or 30 AWG) - 50 Metre Spool
Kanthal A1 Heat Resistance Wire - 0.28mm Diameter (280 Micron or 30 AWG) - 50 Metre Spool
Hope this makes sense and that someone can enlighten me.

While you can use the wire gauge you want... 32 is a some what standard for most.
And are you really going to use 50 Meters?? Microns are just another way to measure..
Try this for smaller lots, with out the confusion... Kanthal A1 Gauge 20 22 24 26 28 30 32 34 AWG Sizes 25' 50'100' 250' 500' 1000' | eBay
The 50m was just what I copied, won't be ordering that much. :p
From those examples, can you answer my question?
I'm not getting how there can be 3 different micron sizes for the same AWG.

I, at times, forget to look at what country folks are in... Sorry
No problem. :)
