Kanthal wire

I have seen on some other post people using Kanthal A-1 wire. I order some from a vendor yesterday and noticed after I ordered it was marked Kanthal D. I am wondering if this D wire is ok to make a coil?

It'll be fine. A-1 is supposed to be better at standing up to heat but, we aren't getting things all that hot.

Yes, it is a beautiful part of the country. My wife grew up in Lenoir between Hickory and Blowing Rock.
