lol UT....... i think everything comes around that goes around!! And i only do what I want to come back to me, not that it is being selfish, but I treat ppl the way i wanna be treated, and help when i can, cuz If i need it I know ppl will be there for me. Call it karma, call it whtever...it is just being good!

Well, I sorta believe in it. I'm not "My Name Is Earl" obsessed with it, lol, but I believe if you do good deeds, you will somehow be re-payed later on in life. BUT, I do catch myself saying "No good deed goes unpunished" ALOT.. so I don't know what to make of that.
I don't do good deeds expecting something in return.. if I'm able to help someone else out, then I'll absolutely do it. I really believe in the whole "do unto others" saying.

We joke about it in here a lot, but do you really believe in karma?

What exactly do You think it is?

Is doing a good deed for the purpose of gaining good karma..actually a greedy act therefor not a good deed?

I used to have discussions and debates on a religious forum, and I am a Christian and those I often spoke with weren't but tried to emulate and imitate to a degree , Christianity. Anyway, grace and free will were often discussions because they believed in work based faith/salvation. I don't do nice/helpful things in order to have it come back to me, I do those things because that is what I have been taught, when I do the opposite is when I go against my god and fall to myself. I was given freely that which I did not and never could deserve. Just passing it on, or as some people say paying it forward. :D Charity begets charity, most of the time.

I have believed in it all my life call it mental but it gets me so bad. When I was a kid I stole a ring from a girl and 2 weeks later I got it lodged in my throat and choked on it. THen several things started happening every time I did something wrong to someone else. One time I cut off a car, 2 miles up the road a big rig nearly ran me over trying to cut me off. Everytime I got full of myself and forgot to care about others something bad happened to me. So it was not a matter of me believing it was happening I learned later that people call that karma. Made me a great adult though I am so honest it is disgusting. If I get too much change I give it back and if I find something I try and find the owner yep I dont even chance it. Now if I do something good, I dont expect it to come to me though I never really thought about it like that. Nor do I even know if it was the word karma persay but rather God letting me know that this is how he would like me to be. I also had to recite in gym for years treat others how you would like to be treated that also went a long way with me.

My family makes fun of me all the time because I can't lie. I can't, and I won't. I hate liars with a passion.
And the last time I was at the post office, the girl in front of me dropped a quarter. As she was walking away I said "Oh, you dropped a quarter! Now adays, thats worth alot!" and we all laughed as she picked it up and walked outside. When I got outside to my car, I saw her getting into a brand new Mercedes. I thought "Damn, she didn't need that quarter" lol
But even if I knew she was wealthy before the fact, I would have done the same thing.

I personally can't say I believe in karma - seen too much evidence to the contrary, or not enough evidence to validate it - i'm not sure which. anyhow i do what i think is right because i think it's right. really don't care about rules or laws if they contradict w/ what's right. i'm not perfect by any means but i do try w/ whatever means I have.

i understand about can't/wont actively - what about omission and lack of correction though? - if u hate those i'll go ahead and go hide now...lol (at least i can admit my flaws that i realize i have - though who knows how many more there are that i don't realize)

Don't give up on Karma, You don't always see results right away. I say this as I lay in a hospital bed every single day, have been for 6 years now. I know there is a reason for it, or that I was REALLY bad in a past life, lol Karma answers when she is ready.

I think if you always try to do the right thing it spreads to other people and it can have an impact down the line.Plus it feels good to go to sleep at night knowing that you did all you could and hopefully helped someone out there.I think You should do it for everyones benefit not just your own.Im always shocked and amazed when it comes back to me.I think thats why it keeps happening.Shocked Amazement. If you expect it,it wont happen.

I don't know if what I believe in is karma per se, but I do believe that if you do good things it has a way of coming back to you. That being said, I don't do things for others to get anything back in return. I suppose I do a bit in the sense that it makes me feel good to help someone else out when they need the help. But I never expect anything in return.

Nothing wrong with it at all, I just sometimes feel like I'm becoming the crazy lady with no kids and 7 animals. Did I mention my birds have 4 eggs that are about to hatch. The first batch they had is why we ended up with 4 birds in the first place. We fell in love with them and couldn't give them away. I really hope that doesn't happen with this next batch because 8 birds is going to put me in the nuthouse.
