How goes it at work, Lynn?
I worked all 7 hours last night. It was almost 5 before they found me a spot though. The way I understand it, I've become a "floater" going wherever I'm needed. I'm grateful that I still have a job but I'm not thrilled about the floating.

That is good news. This way, you can learn many skills. Maybe they are prepping you for management.

No, unfortunately it only serves to move me all around the plant. But..I do get to meet people that I've never met before. Since I'm doing the same thing I've done before, I'm not learning any new skills. Oh well..it's a job and pays the bills. :)

Did they say why they switched you to a floater?

According to my direct supervisor the company is in an overhaul. They're hiring new people to train for holes that need filling. That makes no sense to me because if my job was going away, then I could be used to fill one of those holes. There are 2 of us ladies that are 55 and older doing the jobs that are being fazed out. We both feel like our jobs and us are on the line.

While I know it's not ideal as a job, I'm so glad to hear that you still have one...hopefully it's just temporary until they find a more permanent spot for you.

Thanks SweetPea! I can't agree with you more!

And on the bed bug thing, make sure you check every single crack and hole with a flashlight. They are hard to get rid of. Back in 2013 when I threw the ex AH BF out, I knew he was taking the bed because it was his so I started looking for another waterbed because I loved them. Found one on Craigslist. Great price and had everything I was looking for. My BIL and I drove to pick it up. It was sitting in a shed as the person I bought it from said that it wasn't being used. Flash forward 2 months. Laura started having these weird bite marks showing up on her. The doctor couldn't figure it out. She moved out, bite marks disappeared, then about a month later, reappeared. In the meantime, the bite marks started showing up on me. To make a long story short, it took me over 2 and half years and about $1500 to get rid of those pesky things. I still have a fear of things crawling on me.

Hmmmm... maybe I'll just go ahead and spritz down the frame rails and whatnots with alcohol. I had no idea that they were that difficult to get rid of. Now I'm probably gonna be paranoid as crap... :(

How's this for Matchy-Matchy? :)

Replaced the leaky Skyhook, with this Alien. The Mage and the Alien are a great team.

That looks awesome! I usually keep mine parked on the Fuchai 213, so I imagine the Alien is just as good at coaxing magic outta the Mage. ;)

Ugh... not diggin' the "floater" status... I mean, it is better than the "no-longer-employed" status, but it certainly leaves ya with feelings of less job security. :( Are you still sending out resumes to other places and looking for better options? Just curious... this place sounds like they treat you like crap most of the time, and I'd much rather you find somewhere that appreciates you more.
