Beautiful pen Diver!
When my hands bother me from braiding, I use a TENS unit on them. It can really help for awhile.
oh wow, didn't know they got that hot. Good to know! I haven't ever had to deal with them either, and hope I never do, but still good to know just in case@Debadoo that pest control guy is correct about the 140 degrees. Most dryers get that hot at the high setting but you need to run the clothes in that cycle for at least 20 minutes to allow the dryer to reach that temp. We usually ran our for 30 minutes just to be sure.
Luckily we never had bed bugs but I hated having to keep worrying about it.
.how many cat skeletons you ever see in trees?![]()
poor thing! Hope she heals quickly. Heck of a welcome home huhSO got home from her conference, and not 5 minutes after getting home, BDD in all her excitement to see Mama managed to get a buckle of her harness to tear across SO's leg. Much blood and torn skin. Miss Claire (Mrs. Uncle Kerm) takes SO to the ER. I get there a bit later, after tidying up a couple of loose ends (I do *NOT* do blood or open wounds very well.....) Her leg had JUST healed from the LAST round of stitches..... ZOMG
Yup, twelve stitches this time...
Yay!!! Glad she's back, and hope that learnt here to stay put! Hope she and shadow get along great. And I have THE MOST wonderful news!! Oreo is now down out of the tree and safely in the house. Alive and skinny as a rail. Now I get to fatten her back up! Life is GOOD!!
yay!! Even if it is backwards.I finally got update status on mine - supposed to land in my grubby paws on TuesdayHowever, my Elitar Pipe should show up TODAY

forgot to say this on the porch. Really sorry you're having so much trouble. I go through that too at times. it sucks! Hope you can resolve it quickly. Be careful with the heat though. it feels great at the time.......but does more damage in the long run since it makes the inflammation worse. I can't do ice at all, so the good drugs help more than anything of course. Found out today after telling me for a couple months they would that the bill payin folks won't pay for 90 days of my lidocaine patches. Since I'm limited to how many scripts I can get each month, and already have to get the vicodin each month, I don't have enough to be able to get the patches each month. The last couple nights I have had a really bad time trying to sleep. I can't lay down in bed without having really bad, lots worse than normal, pain in my back.
what I said to diver. if it's inflammation the heat will make it worse in the long run even though it feels great at the time
that's a good idea! I don't like harnesses on dogs cuz it naturally makes em want to pull, but for some that get out of collars easily, sometimes you have toCheck online for a harness for a ferret? Those might be small enough.

Happy Birthday @Debadoo !
Thanks so much to all of you!! We're actually doing something fun this year. my dil's folks are coming over, not sure about my sil and nephew yet. We're having ham, smashed taters, green bean casserole, and my fav bday dessert. brownies, a wonderful 1901 vanilla ice cream that tastes like the old home churned (except creamier) made with eggs type of ice cream, with hot fudge over it and maraschino cherries with cherry juice! I also put cherry juice in the brownies.
Jup it sure was! Don't matter what you went to sick bay for, you came out with ibuprofen! As for the ibuprofen... I guess I'm just used to it. That was the Navy's cure-all. LOL...
thanks darlin! Time for me to go get in the shower, then do the ham. gonna score it, put some clove mixed into brown spicy mustard, and rub it on, then pack on some brown sugar and bake. Thinkin about pouring a little root beer on it before I put the mustard on. Then put water in the bottom of the roaster before baking so the rb doesn't burn and to keep the ham moist.@Debadoo - Hope you have a wonderful, terrific day!

Very nice pen @Diver9543 - I love zebra wood...my very first REO was zebra wood...hope your back feels better soon...sending lots of healing vibes for you.
Love the pico @DingerCPA - I think the green is cool...now if it was purple it'd be perfect!
Healing vibes and positive energy to all those who need it.
I've got a Griffin on mine. It doesn't quite match since my Pico is blue/white and the Griffin is black. It would never get Kat's seal of approval but it works for me.Yah, poiple woulda been purdy, but not even in their color palate. I'm just quite grateful - I'd PIF'd my original Picos, and within the week discovered I'd won in that CVapor contest.... This is the 25, so my bigger tanks will fit now (like the Crown and the Griffin!)
1901 Ice Cream? I've heard of wine being kept for over 100 years, but never ice creama wonderful 1901 vanilla ice cream
I think her birds just keep singing and chirping, don't believe they have spilled any beans.Kad, was that birdy that spilled the beans atcha's bird???
Yeah, possibly self induced, from the whole "the baby bird's are gonna roast if I don't find a way to keep my porch cool" incident. She painted her porch roof with some type of special paint that's meant to repel heat I guess. Began having issues breathing shortly after, just finally went to the doctor.Bronchitis?
Love that color combination! One of my favorites!
I like the harnesses with a handle built in on the back. That way you can lift their front feet off the ground when they start to pull, & not hurt them.oh wow, didn't know they got that hot. Good to know! I haven't ever had to deal with them either, and hope I never do, but still good to know just in case

Ouch! I can only imagine the pain. My DH has had two operations for herniated disks. Are you not able to have the surgery? For DH it was a blessing.Thank you.
Vapemail is always a time to celebrate.
I have a TENS unit that I was given after one of my many knee surgeries. It has been getting a workout the last couple days. I also have a couple rice packs, I keep one in the freezer and the other is for the microwave so I can rotate heat and ice. I am actually on Pain Management for my back. I have 4 herniated disc with 2 tears in my Lumbar so I have some of the good stuff.
Thank you!
Beautiful work! Here is the latest pen in Zebra Wood, one of my favorite ones to work with. It didn't take long to finish today. I had already cut, glued and mounted the blanks on the mandrel a couple days ago. All I had to do today was turn, sand, polish, and assemble the pen today.

That is very nice.I wish the zebra wood i have was that nice light color, mine is more of yellowish brown type color,it looks nice, but the lighter color like yours would of looked much better with the sapele that i used it with. Here is the latest pen in Zebra Wood, one of my favorite ones to work with. Thank you.Beautiful pen Diver!
I use heat and ice like I learned while going through physical therapy - no more than 20 minutes at a time.forgot to say this on the porch. Really sorry you're having so much trouble. I bet that was beautiful.Very nice pen @Diver9543 - I love zebra wood...my very first REO was zebra wood...hope your back feels better soon...sending lots of healing vibes for you.
If I could be assured of a successful outcome I might give it a try. To me, the risk out weighs the benefits.Ouch! I can only imagine the pain. My DH has had two operations for herniated disks. Are you not able to have the surgery? For DH it was a blessing.
Thank you.Beautiful work!
That's how I feel when rehabilitate" a piece of furniture. Stripping, sanding and mote sanding. Then I apply the stain and the clear finish and the wood's grain comes alive. I'm partial to oak and teak.I get a very high level of pleasure watching the raw wood go through the process from a block of wood to the polished labor of love. The joy I receive from making the pen is compounded by the joy when I gift them to others. I have received numerous really wonderful thank you letters and cards from friends and family that were gifted the pens. I really enjoy being able to share my joy with others.
