I've been meaning to post an update for a few weeks now,but forgot too.The kid i work with that was in the car accident a few months back,is back to work now,and i got the full story on what happened directly from him instead of hearing bits from other people.
The guy that caused the accident crossed the center line to go around a car that was waiting to turn,The kid was coming through the intersection when the guy cut over,both trying to beat the red light.A car going in the cross direction came through right as the light changed,and hit the drivers side of the kids car,so he was hit 2 times.The driver that hit him head on was the one who took off,the woman who owns that suv was in the passenger seat,but told the police she doesn't know who the guy was that was driving her vehicle because she is a drug addict and has a bad memory haha.The boy at work is suing her,but if she is truly as she claims,then i don't see what he will possibly get from a lawsuit,but maybe he will get lucky.

That is so sad and also really sucks. I will add him to my prayer list.

Yeah,he seems to be doing pretty well.He said he still has some pain every once in a while from all the breaks that are still healing,and the large scar running from the bridge of his nose up to the top of his head bothers him,he doesn't have much grip strength in his left hand,but the doctors said it could possibly get better over time.
I was amazed to see him come back so soon,in the hospital,they told him it would probably be close to 6 months before he could work again,but he came back just a little over 2 months after.

That's awesome, b.m. Continued prayers and well-wishes for him!

Looks like i may be in for an overwhelming vapemail day tomorrow,i almost want to call off work so i can be here when it all comes haha.I've got several packages that were all ordered at different times,that all seem to be hitting my post office today,there are 2 from ft that were ordered a week apart from each other,and a Toaster Design mod that i can't wait to check out,then various parts and pieces that are coming too.All together there are 3 mods coming,a boxer sqounk mod clone and an Sva Dna 75 sqounk mod clone both coming from Ft,and then the Toaster.Then there are 2 Rda's and a bunch of other small stuff coming in the Ft packages.I really want to call off tomorrow haha.

Anudda lazy day in bootiful Baldwinsville [emoji5]

The main wood delivery for the deck extension will show early tomorrow afternoon (which is supposed to be a rainy day). Today I pulled off the existing end guardrail piece (where the extension gets built from), added 2x8 and 2x6 over the existing rim joist, and tacked up a temporary guardrail. The new front beam should connect level to the 2x8 piece in front, while the rear beam should press up tight under the 2x6 piece.

I just finished the weekly rozting, Brazil and El Salvador.

@Kaezziel I'm so sorry. I went back and reread your post. You DID say your sister. I read it wrong somehow and thought it was DB. I'm so sorry for your sister as this seems to be a serious condition but I'm also glad DB dos not have it. She has so much to deal with.

It's okay, Hun. The docs say that she will probably fight with high BP for the next several months, but at least they let her go home on Saturday. I haven't had a chance to talk to her, but I'm sure that Saturday was rough on her. They had just done the baby shower the day before she went in to the hospital, so all of the baby stuff was at the house. Thankfully, one of her friends went to her house and moved everything into the nursery and closed the door. So she wasn't bombarded with all of it the second she got home. I'll probably try to call her this evening to check on her and see how she's doing.

And I have been kind of withdrawn this week, I have a great deal on my mind. There are things happening this week related to the situation I've been dealing with since February, and I don't really know what shape things are going to take, but right now I'm not feeling good about what's going to happen on Tuesday.
So I would appreciate any extra thoughts, prayers, white light, positive energy, etc that any of you can spare.

Absolutely keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, Brother. I'm not psychic and have no idea how things will go tomorrow, but if positive thoughts can have any impact then I'll be sending enough to sway the outcome to your favor for sure! Love ya, Man!

Haha,as tempting as it was to call off,i did manage to drag myself into work today after all.The smarter part of my brain reminded me that my job is what paid for that stuff,and that if i don't go to work,then i don't have money to buy more stuff haha.
Although,i was a bit disappointed when i got home and seen only 4 of the 5 packages had showed up.For some reason,one of the Ft packages showed being at my local sort facility yesterday,but today it was scanned as leaving Chicago this morning haha,it should be here tomorrow though.

Yay, got the main wood order in for the deck extension, and DW covered it well (tarps - stormy weather and none of the wood is plywood and other non pt stuff for inside work).

The innokin oceanus is looking interesting to me. 3fvape is advertising the one with the Isub tank and two 20700 3000 mAh batteries for $46.

It has a pretty compact form factor, about 1oz heavier (with battery) than the sdna dna75. No tc, but that's a don't-care for me. The 510 isn't press fit, another positive.

Well, HEB doesn't exist in this neck of the woods. And unfortunately, the reality is it will probably be a very long time before I can come back to Texas. I do miss it, believe it or not. Maybe, one day, depending on lots of circumstances, I might move there for good. But that's gonna be a few years.

I know But for whatever reason(s) if you ever decide to move here.......this is a really nice area. If it had a beach/gulf/ocean, it would be just about perfect.

My job is secure! Thank you!! All of the positive vibes, good thoughts and prayers worked. I'm inside a good, fun cell. And it's the exact one I wanted to go into!

yay!!! So happy for you! Hope you do get to see your grandson more than you expect to be able to. Also hope your daughter gets her life together, and certainly that she respects your rules while she's there.

I did get the display stand put together and just had to bring it in to see how it looked with the pens. Lordy, I didn't realize just how many I had sitting around. Now to figure out what to do with them.

I won't need a fence around the garden. The entire space will be covered by 2 netting huts.
No birds, no rabbits, no deer, no Melvin in my garden.

After visiting in Florida, and seeing all the screen in back yards I've decided that's how they all should be. lol Would love to be able to do that sometime.

It's just the last 2 days that things seem to be going back to normal.

Unexpected emergency pup sitting for my sister. Brutus & Bella are happy to see me! BIL's brother passed away unexpectedly on Monday night. They believe it was a heart attack. He was in the shower at the time, & his wife found him. BIL flew out to NM yesterday & sister leaves in the morning. I'm asking for prayers & good wishes for his wife & 2 boys. She is going to be making some hard decisions right away. The boys have Fragile X Syndrome & are in their 20's. There are intellectual & related behavioral disabilities involved. The mother is unable to handle one of her sons so he will probably be moved from home. The other is fine with her. She'll be dealing with this on top of the sudden loss of her husband & needs all the prayers & good wishes we can offer. They are a sweet precious family & will feel lost without Andy. I don't know how the boys will handle this.

Putting up a request for White Light, Positive Energies, and Prayers.... Been a ROUGH week.

SO's leg has gotten infected, and she's been in the hospital since Tuesday. Not sure if she's coming home today or tomorrow. I believe they have (or will) put in a port because one of the best people from the IV team took three tries to set an IV (with an INFANT NEEDLE). She's tired and frustrated and angry and hurting and depressed and..... We all know that something like this will likely happen again I guess this is a "preventative" measure to allow easier access for meds if/when it does happen.....

I'm simply exhaustipated.

Poor SO. and poor you! Y'all have been through so much. And don't ever feel like you're complaining too much missy ma'am! Prayers going up

He and his wife ultimately want a "compound" or whatever you would call it so all us old folks have our own space on the same property. Future, far off future.

my sil and I have always wanted to do that. A big piece of land where each family member could have a home, but we could all be together. Of course, two of her kids would never move here, and it would take us winning the lottery to do it most likely. The family we have here is her and one of her sons, me and my son, and my ex (her brother, son's dad). her mom said if we ever did she and her husband would sell there house and move up. None of us are thrilled by that aspect of it But it's just a pipe dream anyhow, so no worries. Her mom is a real nut case. Bout as bad as mine was.

Flash forward to yesterday (Jae is now 19....).....hubby found someone on facebook with our old friend's name. He took a gamble and messaged this guy to see if it was possible that it might be him (not the first time he's done it in our search for this couple). He promptly got a reply back that said "Hey man, how the h*** you been doing? We've been looking for you for years!" Jason was floored when the hubby told him we'd actually named our daughter after him And....they still live in the SAME town they were in when we moved lol! We are now making plans to make the 7 hour road trip to go see em
