Summer rolls are uncooked, a mix of shrimp, lettuce, tofu,... in a soft shell. Awesome dipped in a sweet Thai chili sauce or a peanut/scallion sauce

Sounds awesome! And I love both of those sauces!:drool:

The ones I made are similar. Rice paper wrapper, shrimp, carrots, cucumbers, butter lettuce, some mint leaves, bean sprouts and shredded cabbage. My dipping sauce was store bought hoisin sauce with peanut butter mixed in. I love Thai chili sauce!!

NOM NOM NOM!!!!

First time I ever tried those, the rice wrapper freaked me out a bit. Now, I can't get enough of them :D

If you can get your hands on it, try Thai Basil. That's quite delightful as an alternative to the mint leaves ;)

Spring Rolls (a.k.a. Egg Rolls, lumpia and others) usually
are cooked (deep-fried, pan-fried or baked) until crisp
are wrapped in a wheat-flour skin made with egg in the dough
contain meat, although shrimp is not uncommon

Summer Rolls:
are not cooked, and are served cool or chilled
are wrapped in a translucent rice-flour skin
normally include cooked, chilled shrimp
normally include uncooked (or blanched and chilled) julienned daikon and carrot, raw cabbage and herbs

Summer rolls normally do not include meat, even cooked meat, because of the meat's propensity to spoil rapidly.

Summer rolls, because they are made with raw vegetables, are not part of cuisines that avoid salads and raw vegetables. This leads to such occasional nonsense as Chinese cooks frying summer rolls.

We're lucky - a big Asian supermarket opened in Syracuse about a year ago. Clean, huge selection, they also have a bakery and some cooked meats. Thai chiili sauce, Hoisin, and many truly exotic items are available there -- dw loves it :)

As a side note, I finally tried Clapton coils... I must say that I am not a fan. I don't know what gauges were used (they came with the Tesla tank), but I have to crank that thing at 100W or it takes forever to heat up. And the flavor isn't any better than what I get on my single strand coils... I don't get what all the fuss is about, except that they look kinda cool.
I know that feeling. When i got my first set of claptons,i was like oh those look cool,i bet they will be great,i was wrong haha.I had them in my tank for maybe an hour before i took them back out.Mine wasn't quite as bad as your's,i think i had to crank mine to around 80 watts before they heated decently fast, but by that point, the flavor was no better and it was too hot.

SO greeted me with dinner already made when I got home as well as a counter full of things from a couple of cabinets.

The chore was to decide what to pitch and what to keep. One of the finds from the deep recesses of the corner cabinet was a stack of ashtrays, many of which "followed me home" from long-gone dayz at my old watering hole. That was quite the pleasure to dispose. :)

@Kaezziel I hope you and your Lady Wife get great news this afternoon!
@Kaezziel - prayers for good results today.

Thank you both! I'll type up an update at some point today... I just don't have it in me to do it right this moment. Suffice it to say that yesterday was very challenging on multiple levels. :(

Yeah, I don't know what gauges of wire was used in the ones that came with the tank, but they sure needed a lot of power to ramp up at any decent speed... and you're right. At that point, it's just too hot to vape comfortably. I'll stick with my single strand 26g builds and the occasional 24g...

That's awesome! I so very desperately need to go through various cabinets, drawers, boxes, and what-not... I'm sure that we have tons of stuff that could be gotten rid of. ;)

Brother @Kaezziel - my heart breaks for you and your Lady Wife. Praying you strength.

Thank you, Darlin'. I certainly need it right now. I think that I have just about found my breaking point. I'm twisted so tight right now that I don't think I can handle any more. Long story short, we had car trouble on the way to the Dr's office, gonna cost quite a bit to fix. Got a rental for now because the stealership didn't have any loaners available. Chemo isn't working, tumors have grown (largest is a little over 26mm now) and new ones have shown up. Plan is to get her into a Phase I clinical trial until something better comes along... Supposed to have a Phase II trial coming in the next month or two, but he doesn't want to wait that long without trying something, so he's trying to get her into a Phase I trial for now. It wasn't completely unexpected news, but still hard to take.

Thanks, Brother. We were hoping and praying pretty hard, too... seems that good news just isn't part of the plan for us at this point. :(
