Thank God. THAT was close for everyone Dinger. Glad your friend didn't get seriously injured, and that YOU were not in there. You want I photoshop and fix that? ;)

Hello, Love! Long time no see :)

I'm nearly in tears at the moment. I'm not even registering right now. Not going to play the "What If?" game.... I can't believe nothing more serious happened to her. Neck collar for a few days, and pain meds - she's gonna HURT for a while.....

The other driver blew through a red light - "I didn't know what color my light was" Said something about his daughter in the hospital??? I'm guessing he was probably texting or on the phone.

Grrrr...... sorry. I pass a lot of people lately, on a bike. I see what they're doing, and it appalls me how many are fussing with their phones. Just let it GO and drive, man! You can't type a paragraph and not be at great risk of running over a child, should one appear. I just wait till a gas station, lunch, destination, whatever. NOTHING is so important it's worth someones life to not wait.

I have a little "freak-out" I have to share with you guyz....

Spent the morning with a (relatively new) client. Got a BUNCH of good stuff done today - she asked if I would join her for lunch. So, based on location, I said I'd drive separately - it would be quicker for me to get back to my office after we were done eating.

We leave - she goes out one way (to a traffic light) and I go another way (to make a left-turn not at a light) I wave to her as I see her at the stoplight I was trying to avoid.

4:45 this afternoon, she's calling me (it's not registering that it's her cell phone, even though I know the exchange is a cell phone number) I'm all goofy - "Hey, long time no talk!" She says, "We must have been watched by guardian angels today. I saw you and waved as you waved and passed through that intersection. As I was pulling through, I got T-boned. Hit right where you would have been sitting, if we'd ridden together to lunch today. I just got home from the hospital - bumped around, and my neck hurts, but the doctor says everything is o.k."

She sent me a picture a little later on - her TOTALLED car was laying on its roof. The passenger door is half-way into the passenger seat.

Don't forget to remind your loved ones how much you care for them.... Please join me in thanking God that she's o.k. and that she gets to feeling better QUICKLY.

Now that I'm home from work I have time to tell you my news. :) I think everyone here knows that my house has been in bankruptcy since November. When I worked at the other job I made more money and was doing wage garnishment so the payments were ticking along just fine. Well then I lost that job, had no income, then found a job making peanuts, then another job(the one I have now) making just a few more peanuts but still nowhere close to what I was making at the other place so it's been a struggle keeping up the payments and having enough to live off of. Then the bankruptcy court decided to raise the payment. I have even less to live off of. And to be honest, if it weren't for food stamps, Colton and I wouldn't be eating.:( And with very little leftover, I wasn't looking forward to winter at all because Colton and I were going to be very cold because I have very little leftover in order to buy heating oil or kerosene to heat the place and space heaters, while they help, do very little to actually heat a 1500 sq ft house. My niece/adopted sister has been living in my mom's house(which she owns a third of) since she and her husband separated in 2012. She has made improvements to the house while she lived there(new roof, new HVAC system, redid the bathroom and saved the laundry room). She also promised that she WOULD buy the house. She called me today with the news that she sold her half of her dad's(my brother who passed away in 2012) house to her exMIL and was going to use that money to buy our mom's house which will give me enough money to pay off the bankruptcy. :):):) I'm so excited!!:):):)

Sorry for the novel

Yah, We're all of an age that there weren't those confangled cellular phones when we were first driving. Barely had answering machines at home, either. We've made it this far. Are we so important that we can't wait X minutes to get to a destination or at least pull over? :grr::grr::grr:

Thanks everyone! I don't think my feet have touched the ground yet. My niece deposited the check from the exMIL yesterday so she's waiting for it to clear before we can proceed to the next step. So hopefully by the end of next week I'll be able to breathe.

That is scary as can be! Hopefully she recovers quickly.

It finally dawned on me, the positioning of the vehicle. She was flipped OVER that median - she was supposed to be coming INTO the view (i.e. the left side of the median) when she got tagged. She'd already crossed at least 2 or 3 lanes (on HER GREEN LIGHT) before she got hit. That just tells me the guy wasn't even slowing down.

Good morning Krewe!! It's a rainyish Friday here in Missouri, but hopefully it clears up :D

Yah, we had school delays with all the fog this morning. It's still overcast and supposed to rain today/tomorrow..... That's o.k. I need to MIX - I have been draining bottles recently and haven't refilled. Gotz to figger out what sounds tasty ;)
