I have to tell y'all about a texting convo I had with my daughter yesterday. She works in an ENT clinic at Duke. A few months ago, she sends me a text telling me that Brett Eldridge(up and coming country singer) is a patient at the clinic and she had met him. So I was at break yesterday and I get a text from her saying that Brett came in yesterday. Seems that he gave one of her coworkers a couple of tickets for the concert last night. He's opening for Keith Urban. Her coworker couldn't go so she offered the tickets to Laura. Laura didn't take them because she had no one to go with her. I told her I would have taken off work, taken a point and went with her because I love Keith Urban! She said that she didn't know that and I told her that she should've texted me. She found out later that the tickets were for front row and had meet and great passes attached. I was mad at her and depressed for the rest of the night! Lol

O.k. So last weekend was the desk-from-hell assembly. This weekend is making this thing useful. I've moved all my vape gear down here, including all my flavah-flaves from my "custom" {squort} shelves in my computer hutch. Part of me wants to move the hutch down here, but where it would end up would completely block everything. We do have an old TV down here (with Kuntry Kable) but I can't get the DVD hooked up right (I didn't take it apart when it moved from one side of the basement to the other, so I'm not sure how I had it hooked up before  ) Plus, we're only getting sound on a couple of the possible channels. This is a 25-y/o TV that I bought through the employee purchase program when I worked at Magnavox. I'm thinking I'm going to bail on it and pick up an inexpensive flat screen..... Might be easier to hook up all the sub-components

I need at least one more task/office chair. SO gets one side; I've got the other. There's enough room for both of us to be pulled up to tabletops and not bump into each other (yes, this thing is HUGE). I'm going to hunt down some "fingernail polish" stands - I think that might help me reorg my flaves.

That's the only proper way to do it darlin, gotta keep them beans fresh.
Correct :)

Probably 3 out of 4 weeks.

It doesn't take very long, 10 sets today was maybe 90 minutes all in, including a couple trips to the basement to pick out beans. Today was 6 sets of Costa Rica r&s, 3 Brazil la minita, and the last of the Colombia Patron.

Each jar is equivalent to a sample set that I send out, convenient amount. 2/3 jar = 1 batch of cold brew.

You. Are. Darling :) Your kindness knows no bounds.....

O.k. Here's where I am with last week's "project".....

I desperately need to figure out how to organize my flavahs. The stacking drawers I picked up at the store today are not deep enough to hold 15mL flavor bottles :sneaky: Rather than returning, SO can use for her crafting stuffs.

My HG order came in Thursday. I scored some Heatvape Invader Minis - for my iron worker buddy I'm going to try to convert. He needs "ruggedized", and I'll tell ya, those Invader Minis are RUGGED! They're "funky" with the settings and resistance range. I think it "auto-detects" Ni200, but if kanthal or SS is <1 ohm, it tries TC before it flips. For $11 beater mods, I'm not going to get excited.

I picked up these weird little things called Kanger EMUS tanks. They're like Evod tanks, but they're 510-threaded. Regular Evod/PT2 heads won't fit - the flange is too large, and the chimney is too wide. However, they build just like the Evod/PT2 heads. I thought these would be good, cheap, expendable toppers while my buddy gets used to vaping. If he shows enough dedication, I have some eGo ONE tanks for him. I'll need to rebuild the heads for him (at least for now) I figure I'll start with a couple of Invader Minis and a Defender II (he won't have a charger, so I might let him charge in the Defender for the time being.) If his (lame-butted) wife shows interest, I'll guide him (them) to a little more sophisticated stuffs. I'm already planning on this being a bust, but baby steps.....

Has anyone else ever gone to ix up a recipe that you know you like, and while getting ready to mix, thought to yourself "I bet it would be good if I did xxxxx" and so on the fly made a significant change to the recipe? And then got done, looked the 120ml bottle, and wondered if you had just made a mistake? If I was gonna experiment, why didn't I do it with a smaller bottle? Oh well, Guess I'll see what happens.

SO's niece is Developmentally Disabled. (The umbilical cord had wrapped around her neck, cutting off oxygen prior to birth.) They didn't expect her to live past a few months. Niece will be 32 this fall :)

We met when SO and I went to Disney World with her and her housemate (and SO's SIL) about 5 years ago. Niece has since learned to text and FB message (incessantly sometimes :sneaky: ) Took a couple of days, but Niece warmed up to me (to the chagrin of SO :p )

Just had a lovely little chat with her. Sentences are "broken", like sign language (of which I need to learn more....) But, context is quite easily conveyed. My heart just melted when Niece signed off "Love Mary", to which I immediately responded "Love "Niece" ".......

I'll prolly do Bali next round. The Costa Rica is another awesome cold brew bean, made 6 to pass some around. Colombia I'll use for drip. Brazil is a test, haven't had it before.

Checked out Bodhi Leaf. They have some Nic La Iguana - I didn't know dcfluegel was a coffee farmer :)

I just spent the last 3 hours working on our clothes dryer. I'm now the Maytag Man. :2cool:
Shouldn't have taken that long except... (A) I know nothing about working on dryers, and (B) The little red headed girl burst into the room and knocked over the front section, breaking the door switch. Door switch is hardwired until I can get a replacement.
A sprained groin muscle didn't help matters either. I think it's time for a bit of Devil's Cut.
