Remember the raccoon that was on my porch a month or so back? Well..even though I pick up the cat food every night, it came back. AND brought a friend. But the friend is down on the other end of the porch eating the dog food. Maggie is barking her beagle head off at this little raccoon and it's not phasing it a bit. Maggie could just grab the thing, it's that close to her.:lol::lol:

Good evening everyone! Another day has flown by.

The two adult dogs went for annual checkup and shots. My wallet is now lighter [emoji5]

It looks like I'll get to close on a car Monday. First one I planned to get had a couple of factory finishing defects, and what they offered to do wouldn't have worked for me. Second one had an annoying scratch in a not bad location; they came down on price, did an excellent repair, plus this one has some added features. Paperwork signed, loan app in (no brainer, and I already spoke with the local bank manager so she can expedite cutting a check Monday). They'll owe us one corrective action, a tiny blemish on the hood that I'm comfortable their shop can fix properly.

Tomorrow will be Rozting and taking DW and BIL's family to a local Texas De Brazil, celebrating DW's birthday Monday and a niece's birthday midweek. Sunday night I should be in a meat coma for TWD [emoji3]
The perfect show for a meat coma! I only started watching it at Halloween. I was pet sitting for Mack h having to us Netflix & Amazon Prime for tv sources. I was instantly hooked on the show I'd blown off for 6 years. Discovered Carol stole my hairdo I'd had for 7 or 8 years. No way I'm missing it tonight! The midseason break was rough, & I'm not looking forward to the next few months! So I started watching Vikings, too.

Good Nooningz to y'all!

Hope erryone is having a delightful day.

I cleaned and rewicked a few tanks yesterday. I really think I'm becoming a Rayonati. I had a sliver of rayon and wicked one tank. Then grabbed shiseido cotton (which is what I have been using for a couple of years.) The tank with the rayon is a much nicer vape than the ones I did with the cotton

Making my grocery list and will be heading to a birthday party for a 90-year-old from church this afternoon. Miss Katie is so adorable, you just want to sop her up with a biscuit. Many of her sons and daughters came with her to church this morning. Gonna be a HUGE bash this afternoon. A few years ago, for our "Trunk or Treat" at church, she joined our Star Wars-themed group as YODA!!!!!! She was PERFECT

I bet those were Dallas storms that got y'all, Houston storms are kinder.

Jup, and I'm stuck in between the two, and get it from both directions sometimes. Power was off for about an hour this morning. But again they said all hell was gonna bust loose, but it wasn't too bad here at all. Dunno bout the rest of the town. Tornado sirens did go off about 6:30 am when I had Ozzy out to potty, but came in and turned the TV on and they said they didn't know why they were going off. Later said it was just an accident. Some newbie prolly goin....hmmmmmm wonder what this button does

Good Mornternoon
I like that!

we've got a massive tstorm going on. Lots of lightning, thunder shaking the house and raining so hard you can't see out of the windows.
yuck, hope y'all got through it ok

Does anyone have a Roomba vacuum cleaner and if you do how do you like it?
I don't, but have had some friends that have had them, albeit many years ago, and they said they were crap. They really zig zag a lot so they take forever to do a whole room, and often would get stuck under a desk or something. There is another one I've seen on TV that makes a lot more sense. It maps the whole room, and actually goes in lines like you would, and when it's done, it goes "home" and plugs itself in. I don't recall the name, but it might be the samsung powerbot that CR has listed as the best
Best Robotic Vacuums for Under the Tree

I'm a l'il off kilter, myself, but like the old school clown punching bags, I'll right myself eventually.
(((((Kaezz)))))))) sorry you're having a rough time sweetie! Love you oodles. Hope things get better for you. Will focus more prayer on that.

Beats snowing inside!

So our oldest, Peaty has not been esting well for the past three months and we knew part of that was because he had dental issues. But even after we had taken care of last January, it's been a struggle to get him to eat enough.

I wont bore you with the details but he has several conditions that we thought were causing it. Although those are managed as well as they can be his behavior still suggested to me that it is painful to lean down to eat for any length of time. I suspect there is arthritis involved, maybe in his spine or legs - he is almost 11 after all.

So I made him a stand for his food dish. It is an old cat litter contsiner with a hole cut in it. The hole is a little smaller than the top of his dish so it drops in. (Those three small holes are ftom another project for which we had used this container.

Voila! And much cheaper than store bought!

that's a great idea! so sorry he's having issues. We'd put Frankie's food up on a box, to try to keep the puppy out of it, but the box isn't tall enough. But now I'm having a hard time keeping Frankie out of Ozzy's food. Frankie was supposed to teach Ozzy good behaviors, not the other way around. Contacted some dog trainers the other day, and omgggggggg it was "refinance the house" expensive. One thing was 150.00, another was 350.00 and another was just under a grand. Good lord! I know the business we need to get into! Gonna look around for some others. Plus when I asked them about their methods, they said on older dogs, not puppies they use E collars, and I'm just not a fan of that at all

I refuse to let my kids drag on and suffer. When I worked a the vet hospital the ting that bothered all of us who worked there, even more than sick pets, was when clients could not make that decision at the appropriate time or those clients who said they didnt believe in euthanasia and those pets would go at their own good time.
I agree completely. It's so hard to do, but I can't stand it when they are obviously suffering.

Thanks Cathy! Two Saturdays in a row with my daughter and grandson...Priceless!!
Wahoooooooooo hope you've had the best weekend ever! Been thinkin bout ya all weekend

The "back 40" is now officially cleaned out and can be repurposed for growing things besides weeds!!!!
kewlios!

kewl! Gratz on the car too. Had to look that one up. Nice, storage and legroom combine with a sports car look.

Good Nooningz
like that one too, and this one is easier to remember.

awwww that's so kewl!

Did the sleep study Friday, but the docs either took the day off or left early cuz they weren't around so I have to go back next Friday for the results. At one point they hooked me up to a Cpap, then came in a few minutes later and asked if I was getting enough air, so apparently I had some kind of issues. We'll see. When she first hooked me up then went to make sure it was all working, she came running back in cuz the computer said I wasn't breathing at all. She heaved a huge sigh of relief when she found out that wire had just come unhooked. :D I haven't done this in a long time, but I've always had a problem periodically where I'll just start laughing hysterically and uncontrollably. Haven't done it for awhile, til I got in bed and tried to sleep. Suddenly I'm laughing like crazy  I was trying so hard to squelch it, so I was kind of shaking. She asked if I was ok. Then I exploded with laughter. Jup I'm fine, just laughing lol It's never anything funny that starts it, it just happens for no good reason. One night I laughed for 5 hours! I hurt so bad but still couldn't stop laughing. It's kinda like that psuedo bulbar affect thing, but pretty sure it's not, cuz it doesn't happen too often.

Hope everyone has a great week this next week and a great last bit of weekend

@Debadoo thanks for the link. CR says one of the Ruumbas is excellent but I think I better get my .... in gear and just use my vacuum cleaner when the cat hair threatens to engulf the house. These things are too expensive.

On the puppy training thing. Too of my friends from when I worked at the vet hospitals are professional dog trainers and I heard them say time and time again that the most important thing to do is be consistent. In other words ANY time they do something they shouldnt they should be corrected. While they are in training they should be rewarded with a tiny bit of a treat and the same phrase every time. That's pretty much it.

yeah I know consistency is the most important thing. Ozzy is doing pretty good, but is stubborn. He doesn't piddle in the house much anymore, but has decided that the dining room is the place to poop. If he can consistently go to that room (that we don't go into much) then I know he could do it outside. We're still gonna do the DNA thing on the 7th and it will take two weeks, but for awhile now, we've all been thinking there is some pit bull in him. His back legs definitely have the look of some kind of bull dog, which is one reason I had been thinking boston, but his face has a pit bull look, especially his eyes. The kids looked up pit and chihuahua and found some that look like him. They call em chippits. We'll find out in about 3 weeks.

I was interested in a professional trainer, cuz I don't have the physical ability to really work with Frankie on things like not going beserk at the door, and I can't take em for walks. The kids don't have much time for walks, but when they do, I know my dil especially doesn't use it a training time to get them to walk properly. With one being a terrier, and the other likely being bull dog, they are both really good at stubborn lol

oh and for vacuums, have you seen the bissel pet vacuum? it's supposed to have kind of a slick beater bar that hair doesn't get stuck to. And it says that the hair doesn't get stuck in the cannister either, just push the button and it all falls out. Not sure how much it is, but it might be cheaper than the robot ones. (might not though, I haven't checked prices)

Mack is teaching Finn how to pose. Now I hope he teaches him that people are not chew toys! It took awhile to get that thru to Mack.

they are both so adorable!! Lookin at Finn the vet might be right about Ozzy having a lil Corgi in him. That would be awesome! I never realized they have kinda "small for their face" eyes as puppies. Jup, Ozzy is usually napping right beside me, so when he wakes up, and wants to play I have to keep telling him, Granny is not a chew toy! But I try to keep a rawhide bone on the couch and give him that. He'll tear those up in a day, but we're so lucky he really hasn't chewed up anything else. A few times he started to chew on a shoe or something. I told him no, and that was it. If he'd just stop poopin in the house, he'd be just about the perfect puppy. He'll get it though. He's getting better all the time about doing what he should, and not doing what he shouldn't.

Geordi did that for awhile after he seemed housebroken. He would sneak off to another room and poop. Either a spare bedroom or the living room. I would often wake up to poop in the living room overnight. We were able to keep bedroom doors closed and use gates for areas of the house where he would sneak off to. If he pooped overnight, back to the crate at night for another week or so. He finally stopped when he was still under a year old. BTW, he turned 2!!!! last Tuesday. 2? already?
