Oh Sweetie  Sending love and hugs to you and your family.......

Thank you, SweetHeart. I know that they are going to make funeral arrangements for Isabella, so I'm trying to figure out if there's any way that I can make it up there. I know that DB won't be able to go, so I guess I'll have to see if her family can step up so that I could leave for a couple of days... I'm not super hopeful that'll happen, though...

I got some bad news yesterday, and would like to ask for prayers and loving, healing thoughts for my little sister. She was a little over 7 months pregnant and had her baby shower on Saturday. Yesterday, she lost the baby. I'm not real clear on the details, but it seems that the placenta detached prematurely. She apparently had some bleeding yesterday morning so she and her husband went in to the ER. They couldn't hear the baby's heartbeat and did an ultrasound to confirm then did a C-section. They let my sister and my mom hold the baby afterwards. She was named Isabella Grace. Afterwards, my sister was still losing blood... they ended up giving her about 4 units of blood and some meds to help with clotting. As of last night, she was still in ICU and was having some kind of allergic reaction to something that they had given her, but Mama said that she was stable. I've not heard anything else yet this morning, but I am very worried and sad for my sister. Out of all my siblings, she is the kindest, most loving, and supportive. Just another instance that really makes me wonder why such horrible things have to happen to the best people...

Hearing of the loss of her child is heart breaking. I have added her and the rest of your family to my prayer list.

Thank you. July is always a hard time for me as my wife lost her battle with cancer on the 5th of July 2012. I have been making the pens to take my mind off of that and to help me with the depression that always comes with it.

I'm sorry, Diver. I didn't realize that July was the anniversary of the loss of your wife. I do truly appreciate you following along with my updates, as I know that you fully understand what it is that we are facing. I know your strength and I am awed by it. For you to willingly listen to the reminders of that most difficult time in order to offer compassion to a complete stranger is truly humbling. I just wanted you to know that I recognize that and I want to say thank you. My deepest heartfelt sympathy and prayers are with you.

    Prayers' Kaezz!

Thank you, Hun! I very much appreciate it!

Thank you, Brother. It truly is... they had been trying for the better part of a year to get pregnant and had decided that if it hadn't happened by the end of the year that they would give up on trying. Then it happened. And now this... my heart breaks for her.

@Kaezziel so sorry Brother. Thoughts and prayers...

Thank you, Brother. You know that I truly appreciate the thoughts and prayers. I just wish that there was something that I could do for her. Being the older brother sucks when you can't beat someone/something up for your l'il sis...

So sorry to hear this. Thoughts and prayers for your sister and husband, for you, and for the whole family.

Much appreciated, Brother Kev. I know that she and her husband, and Mama are all having a really hard time with it right now. Mama is staying at my sister's house with their son right now. He is only 5 years old and was looking forward to having a baby sister... just a hard situation all the way around...

DJLsb's review of the Geekvape AEGIS was fun to watch. He dropped it from 3 stories, submerged it, and ran it over with his car -- truly a solid mod [emoji106] He's doing a giveaway on da Tube, and 3fvape also has one running (not sure who else).

lmao. started playing that, and it got Ozzy's attn who was on the couch beside me, but it also brought Frankie runnin in from the back bedroom, to see what was going on.

1901 Ice Cream? I've heard of wine being kept for over 100 years, but never ice cream:lol:
lol I actually had that wrong, it's 1905. Dunno why but I was saying 1901 all day. Love this ice cream. Best vanilla ice cream I've ever had. Whenever you get a chance to come back down, y'all will have to try it. You get it at Heb. It's creamy creations now which is the HEB brand.

    Hi all!

Still getting a lot of rain off and on (the lake is crazy high for mid July).

After the morning clouds and rain things cleared, we got the first two concrete support columns for the deck extension in. We are doing the second series of holes ourselves, the youngsters have other stuff going on.

Anywho, tomorrow is picking up another 8 bags of concrete, a sonotube (10" diameter concrete form), and more gravel. Get the next pair of columns in, probably head out for materials for the third pair, to have on hand during the week.

With any luck I'll place the main wood order during the week, so I can start working the posts, beams, etc. next weekend.

No rest for the wicked [emoji5]
saw the post that you got even more done hope the rain holds off and the rest goes smoothly.

Good morning! I worked last night inside a cell for the first time since October. Even went all the way around all the operations and actually held my own. Guess I showed them that I'm not too old or too slow to keep up! HA! Take that!! Today will be spent getting some stuffz done. Have a good one all! :)
    You go girl!!

    Hello, mah peepz!
A couple of days ago, we noticed there's a foul odor in our walk-in closet. The wife thinks the drain to our sewer system is leaking. But I don't think it smells like sewage, and there's no smell anywhere other than the closet.
Getting everything out of the closet takes some doing. This is a big closet (8'x12'). There's a LOT of stuff in there, some of it is heavy, and the stench is hard to take.
Anyway, I found the problem last night... a dead mouse. Hard to believe something so little, could smell so big.
On the plus side, I've been wanting to reorganize the closet for a while. :)
yuck! when you first started about the smell........I was thinkin dead mouse! It is truly amazing how badly they can stink

(I blame the puppies. Little Bear probably changed it while Maggie had my attention. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it

    )
hehehe Loveeeeee that mexican cascada. It's all I've drunk since it arrived!

I don't know what I did but somehow I messed up on the last post and kept deleting what I had typed. It is doing ok now. I have quite a few pens right now and need something to display/hold the pens. After sundown, I went to the shop and brainstormed a holder. I put one together out of some really rough scrap wood and have it all glued and clamped. I will see how it is tomorrow. If it works the way I think it will I will make a couple with better wood and put some kind of a finish on it.
    oh kewl!

oh honey, I'm soooooo sorry! That just breaks my heart. I don't understand either. Anytime is heartbreaking, but especially so late in the pregnancy when you think everything is fine. Glad your sis is stable, but many prayers for her (physically and emotionally) and all of you!

Thank you, SweetHeart. I know that they are going to make funeral arrangements for Isabella, so I'm trying to figure out if there's any way that I can make it up there. Well, HEB doesn't exist in this neck of the woods. And unfortunately, the reality is it will probably be a very long time before I can come back to Texas. I do miss it, believe it or not. Maybe, one day, depending on lots of circumstances, I might move there for good. But that's gonna be a few years.

As soon as I walked in the house after work today I knew the coffee mail fairy had been here...nothing like walking in and smelling that wonderful aroma!! Thank you Mark!!!:D...And my son is gonna love his! It's perfect for him! :thumb:
I love it when I get close to my box at the PO & know there is coffee waiting for me! It was a real treat this time after being gone, & completely coffee less for 2 weeks. Really liking the CR & Peruvian, too. The Peru has an edge over the CR.

Pay close attention to point #7, it does make a difference.

Just in case you are having a rough day (week, year, and life), here is a stress management technique recommended in all the latest psychological journals. The funny thing is that it really does work.

    0

    1. Picture yourself lying on your tummy on a warm rock that hangs out over a crystal clear stream.

    2. Picture yourself with both your hands dangling in the cool running water.

    3. Birds are sweetly singing in the cool mountain air.

    4. No one knows your secret place.

    5. You are in total seclusion from that hectic place called the world.

    6. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.

    7. The water is so crystal clear that you can easily make out the face of the person you are holding underwater.

There!! See? It really does work.

    You're smiling already.
