I have a question about the airflow on the kayfun 3.1 that I just received.

I am noticing that I really really have to pull hard to get a good lung full of vape, not anything like my IGO-W3 that could produce some pretty big clouds.

I understand that there is an airflow screw and I have completely removed that but still it just takes forever to get a pull.
Is there anyway to drill out the airflow channels to allow more air, or would that ruin a mod like the kayfun 3.1?
I love the flavor, but I want some more airflow so I don't have to suck on it for 10-15 seconds to fill the lungs....

I am running a dual coil setup, 10/11 wrap 28-gauge, registering at 1.7ohms each coil, so that would be .85 ohms together. Would that be the cause? I saw a video of a guy building a dual coil setup to get better clouds and he got his down to .5 ohms using the exact same wire, but 12 wraps (i ran out).
Can I build a sub ohm on a kayfun 3.1??

Thanks for any info you can provide.

My KFL+ has never been much on massive vapor production, but it beats every other clearomizer/tank that I own in overall taste and enjoyment, so I'm not going to complain! Although, I would be interested in knowing how drilling out the airflow channel works for you. I also have a clone that I wouldn't mind modifying a little bit if it makes enough of a difference to warrant it.

HCigar Clone, and I found a way to drill out the airflow hole....I'll have to see if that works.

Completely disassemble it and make sure there is no plastic stuck in the main airshaft. Very common problem on the Hcigar clones from reading I've seen here. You have to take it fully apart anyways to drill it out.

Yes, I have 5mm space.

5mm seems a bit high. Try lowering the coil to about 2mm and give it a go.

Also on a side note... The Kayfun and it's clones are more about flavor chasing rather than being a cloud machine. If you are expecting to produce huge plumes of vapor, you most likely will not with this particular device.

Hope you get everything worked out to your liking with it.
