So i had my kayfun 3.1 and nemisis for about 4 days now and it finally working out pretty good. I got about 1.2 ohms by about 8 wraps around 1/16 bit with 28 a1 kanthal. It produces a decent amount of vapor but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for getting a little more. I know its not meant for cloud chasing but I want a little more. Would moving to 26 gauge at about 1 ohm give me more clouds? Any advice would be nice.

I will be getting my igo m in a few days. Any suggestions on builds?

I purchased an ohm meter a few days back and it was working fine until last night. But whenever I put the kayfun on it the readings start changing constantly. But when I place my i16 clearomizer it works fine. Also when I was taking my kayfun off the meter I noticed a small white/ clear o ring just sitting there inside. I don't think it from the Kayfun though.

Thanks

So from the sounds of it you definitely have a short somewhere, when you made your coil did you squeeze it together and torch it? That's what I tend to do and it normally helps with shorts then when you mount it into your rba fire it until it glows then squeeze it together and repeat that process before you wick the coil.

What is the resolution on your Ohmmeter? For example, the SmokTech Omnitester measures in 0.1 ohm increments. If the circuit is say 0.75, it will flicker between 0.7 and 0.8. It could also be the 510 screw in your KF. If it is too far in, it will not make a clean connection on the tester, but might on a mod.

For your KF, try doing micro-coils (all wraps touching each other) or better yet a chimney coil (vertical micro-coil directly on the airflow with wicking on the outside of the coil). IIRC, about 6 wraps of 28AWG on a 2mm (5/32") bit will give you around 0.8 ohms. IMO, it's a pretty good build for the KF.

I use a Big Nasty with a Russian 91%. Also I use DIY liquid, and cotton. Instead of taping shut the air hole, just take out the screw and leave both open. I drilled out both holes on my Russian, but you may not feel comfortable with that. If you're having trouble getting your resistance low enough, try twisting the 28 gauge with a drill or similar method, then torching and wrapping it. Wicking is also very important. I hear some people say no cotton in the juice notches, and others say to do it. Maybe it's all about juice thickness and how much you chain-vape. The best advice I can offer is just to keep playing with it. I've only had my setup about a week, and it gets better every day. Best of luck to you with it!

Wow it works pretty good with removing the screw and taping the airhole. Thanks!

Do you find you have problems with dry hits? What's your setup?

Glad it helped! I can't remember the gauge I used, but it's single coil 5/6 wrap around a 2mm (ish) toothpick. 1.2ohms. With cotton. I chain vape through most of the day & the 5/6 on a toothpick seems to work well - no dry hits at all. But the downside is I can vape through 4mls of liquid in an hour...Time to DIY!

Dude I hear ya! I go thru 30 ML a day on my dripper. If I didn't work at a vape shop and get a discount on juices I'd DIY everything.

But as far as the dry hits go for the OP, when you're wicking your Kfun are you over stuffing it? I noticed with my Russian 91% that if there is too much cotton in the well that it won't soak up to the top as fast as I'm vaping on it. But also you don't want to under stuff the well because it will just let the juice flood it and it'll be coming out the air holes. Try doin a vertical build over the air flow hole and leaving a marginal amount of cotton in the channels. It'll give you great flavor and vapor production.
