I'm glad I spent the extra money and bought the svoemesto kayfun Lite 2. Perfectly machined with larger juice channels. I love it when every piece fits just right and every screw actually comes off and on without stripping issues.

I have that, with my Tobecos. They work flawlessly, once I learned to wick them properly, with rayon -- organic cotton is great, if you can figure out the *exactly right* amount to use, but it has to be *exactly right* -- cotton is not forgiving with either too much or too little. It's still possible to get a less than great vape with rayon, but the *exactly right* amount is a bit wider; you can stray a bit either way and still get a good vape.

I'm sure the authentics are great; after all, they started it, became the thing to copy. But I'm really tired of people acting like ALL "clones" are inferior just because they aren't "the authentic." Some of us do not have the kind of disposable income that will allow "authentic" purchases, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't be able to have a great vape, thanks to many clones. If I'd had to wait till I had the money to buy an authentic, I'd still be beating my head on the wall with my T3S's, maybe at some point getting tired of all the frustrations and just giving up vaping altogether -- which would mean going back to smoking.

It appears to me that my choice to save money and buy Tobecos rather than EHPros was actually a good one, because I've had zero problems with my Tobecos -- but I read about a lot of problems with EHPros.

We all buy what we think is best for ourselves. Since I have smoked 2 packs of Marlboros for 45 years money was never a issue for me. I don't own a Provari, but can afford one. I quit smoking over a year ago and have tried the patch, gum, pills, and being hypnotized in a effort to quit smoking, but nothing worked except the ecig and I never wanted another cigarette. I do dislike junk and from the start I have bought Kanger products and Kanger coils before going to carto tanks. I found out fast from reading that no one makes a better tank the IB Tanked and I have 3 of them ready to go. Most of the clearo clones are junk as are the coils they market for Kanger. The same goes for cheap cartomizers and carto tanks. I don't want to aggravate myself with leaky tanks and cartos. I've gone through a number of Kayfun reviews and comparisons to the Svoemesto and the Svoemesto was the winner. I can afford it and I'm sure I will be enjoying it. Right now it sits until I get time to build some coils or buy coils made for the Kayfun Lite for a few dollars.

I should add that if the only product on the market was the Ego kits I would be fine using them as that's what got me off of cigarettes. i did the math and if I wanted I could have a Provari Kit, a MVP2 as a backup, 3 IB Tanked carto tanks, $50.00 worth of cartos, and the Kayfun for $99.00 and spend $540.00 not including ejuice. In a year I would spend $3650.00 on cigarettes. Where is the savings in buying clones which may or maynot work?

There may not be a savings; but I can afford $11 every other day, if I was still buying cigarettes. I very rarely EVER have $100 at one time to spend on just one thing. None of my mods have cost more than $40, though the mech might be considered $57 since I really wouldn't care for it or use it without having a kick in it. So I can't see spending more for a tank than for a mod. If I bought stuff that cost that much for ONE thing, then that's all I'd have -- ONE thing. Obviously backups are necessary.

People in my economic situation can't be picky about name brands. We buy the best quality we can afford. I'm very happy with the quality of my Tobecos, and also with my Smoktech cartotank that cost $6 -- excellent quality. I'm delighted with the quality of my Innokin vv3s and my Sigelei Zmax, and all those were very inexpensive. My Vamo was downright CHEAP, and while I recognize that it may not be of the same quality as the Innokins and Sigeleis, it's good enough, and having all this quantity is far more important to me than having ONE name-brand expensive article.

I accidentally bought a Tobeco Kayfun Lite Plus V2 at a local vape meet, thinking I was buying an EHPro. There was an EHPro V1 sitting right next to it on the table, hence my mistake.

No regrets on this purchase. You would be hard pressed to find a flaw in it compared to the original. It came totally clean with perfect threading, and all the same accessories as EHPro and the original.

Tobeco has stepped up it's game over the past year.

I believe you are right about you not saving any money. I can't understand why having more is better for anyone vaping. I have 3 VV's one MVP2 and that's it for mods. Innokin VV3's are good, but the Vamo, Zmax, and Fallen Angel are not quality mods.

I say to each their own but I can't let purchasing mods and tanks become an addiction. I just ended one of the worst addictions.

The 3.1 is about as airy as it comes in a Kayfun. I'd use my 3.1 more because of that, but I hate the fill port, and top filling is always a mess.

Here is the new kayfun style tank I'm eyeballing. Supposedly has a much more open draw with 4 air intakes and adjustable draw. Glass tank too!

Hey, maybe after next pay, I'll try that one out, looks promising, especially if it can fix my now only one complaint - too tight draw. I have also heard Foggers may be the solution.

I have a Fogger 4.0. Not a fan. The flavor is very muted in it. I understand the 4.1 may be an improvement over the initial release version I have.

Perhaps you'd enjoy this video. An overall favorable review....

The smoktech RSBT is *extremely* airy, with good flavor; it's got both a pyrex tank and pyrex driptip, and it's not too pricey -- $34.99 at dfwvapor.

How does it wick?

I'm a big fan of the Taifun GT, and the build is obviously similar, although the Taifun has to be much easier being able to remove the chamber......

The area of the wick actually exposed to the tank on the RSBT looks tiny.

As always Andria, you're the best.

I'm sure quite a few here would disagree with you about that. ;) But I know I find the RSBT a bit too airy even with just one hole open; the flavor is just about as good as with my kayfuns (at least I find it so), although it's almost too intense for me -- somewhat like a dripper, though it doesn't agitate my asthma quite as badly as my Caterpillar does; I just keep my wattage down a little, and it works ok for me. It's a good tank, and for what I got it for, a better alternative for tank crackers than a quartz kit, it's great -- but for me, it won't replace my kayfuns -- and I never expected that it would, I just thought that for the price, it was worth investigating, and I'm glad I did.

Since you do like airy, you might want to use a different driptip though; although it's a pyrex driptip that's fairly fat, the bore is actually fairly narrow. A wide-bore driptip would no doubt work better, for better clouds.

It seems to be true for many of us that it wicks better if you leave some of the wick down in the well, with just a little of the wick right at the slots on the sides. Rayon didn't work well for me in the RSBT, because of rayon's shrinking when saturated; I found that organic cotton works better in it, for great flavor and to prevent leaking (the latter being the reason for leaving some of the wick down in the well).

Actually I think some of the RSBT'ers compared the build to that of a Fogger, pre-v4. I hunted up some pics of the build deck in pre-v4 Foggers, and it does greatly resemble it.

Andria

(EDIT: I first tried a 5/64 coil in it, and got some dry hits -- probably because I'm used to much fatter coils; but when I tried a 3/32, it worked great)
