After heavy searching online, I found one of the best upgrades you can acquire for the kayfun. Here it is on my Stingray

The very top of the cap unscrews to reveal two holes that you would insert a syringe into for filling. One for filling, one for air venting while filling. The top cap has threads where the chimney inserts, and included is a threaded chimney as well. This eliminates the risk of the whole thing coming apart and making juice go everywhere with the regular glass kits, because those just pressure mount together like a genesis top cap. Everything is secure and the finish matches exactly. My Kayfun is an authentic as well.

The kit goes for 78.99. Not cheap, but also not cheaply made. They also sell a nano glass piece and a shortened nano chimney, also threaded. I believe the site also has a threaded top cap, but not for top filling.

Kayfun DX top filling cap was about 34.99
The glass kit was something like 20 or so
The threaded chimney was 5.

I got mine from avidvapor.com. As of right now I don't believe there are any other sellers for it and it hasn't been cloned. Well worth it IMO.

This is my second thread about this. Moderators feel free to delete the old one, but I would prefer this one stay in the general vaping discussion area if possible to get the word out about improving an already great device with a great improvement

Yep steep is one way of saying it. I got all this in prep for the new provari coming out, and it would almost be a shame to throw something cheap like a fogger v4 or a kayfun clone on such a pricy device. Maybe I'm weird that way but I definitely like to know I'm rocking a quality, authentic device.

Fast tech sells this for under $20 I ordered one out of curiodity but it don't show the cool stuffff (air flow ports under the base.)
They have a glass kit, but it doesn't have a threaded chimney or threaded top cap. The glass part is just held on by friction on two O-rings, and can dump all your juice out at a moment's notice. Unless you know of some other item on fast tech, in which case I'd appreciate a product link or SKU, because I'd love to buy one but don't want to pay almost $80 for it.

The ELeaf Lemo comes with a threaded chimney, top cap, and glass section as well. Plus, the build deck has better air flow than the Kayfun, and is cheaper for the whole thing. I like this kit, but the price seems a bit steep to me.
The Lemo is still a bottom filled device though and needs tools? My dream kayfun is a "top filler" and also some post holes in the deck screws to help with recoiling (aging eyes).

And we have to be careful when we talk airflow and the Kayfun. There are so many kinds now with clones but they're all different it seems. "Kayfun" just seems like a generic term these days

They have this top cap , depending on the length of the chimney on your kayfun you might need to insert an o-ring into the chimney to make sure it's long enough to meet the o-ring in the top cap it self but that's an easy fix considering the price . $5.82 Replacement Top Cap for Custom Kayfun Top Cap RBA - stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I deleted your other thread, per your request. :)

I have a question on the top fill, can you use a regular tip that comes with most standard bottles or do you need a needle?

Quality machining and heavy top cap.
The edges of the fused quartz glass kit chip. Very poor quality for the price in my opinion.
Sent mine to Spectrum Tanks - Home for fitment and got a quality Pyrex colored tank. I believe the Size #24 for the Rainbow Kayfun version is the appropriate size. Vast improvement.
You must keep the bottom air hole blocked during the entire refill process or it will leak.
Overall an expensive but quality upgrade, w/the exception of the glass tank itself.

Your right, the quartz does chip and my brand new one even had a couple chips. Nothing major. I'll have to look into replacement glass. I bet ibtanked could do a nice one as well. Overall I'm pretty happy with it

You probably could use a regular tip, but it might wind up being messier. Best used with a needle

What was the cost of that if you don't mind my asking?

Still not threaded, by which I mean that the chimney doesn't screw into the topcap. The top cap screws into the tank, but the tank isn't held together by screw threads. The only thing that's holding the tank together is the friction on the O rings, so the whole thing can come apart if you give it a good yank (or look at it funny).

The advantage of the upgrade that the original poster is talking about is that the chimney screws to the build deck, then the topcap screws to the chimney. That means that screwing the topcap on holds the whole unit together, even without threads in the glass portion. So, you'd have to strip out the screw threads to yank the topcap off. That's a huge improvement over the topcap you linked to when used with the FT glass tank.

Those do look nice. It says that all of their standard sizes are $7, so if the Kayfun is a standard size, that would be a good price. If it's not standard, you should all go buy one so that if I buy one later, it will be considered a standard size :)

You can get a good quality Kayfun Clone for $40.00+ or an authentic KFL+ for a $100.00. Neither of which came with chipped tanks. I felt like for $80.00 just for the accessories, I should have received a quality tank.
The version that fits from Spectrum is $12.00 plus shipping.
I also use an 18 gauge needle to fill mine.

Yep mine is an authentic and I couldn't agree more about the chipped glass. However for the functionality of the glass for juice that may crack glass is a huge plus and the top fill is invaluable. I'll look into a better piece of glass though
