I really liked the look of this coil set-up, and you all made it sound so simple. Now, I have been building single coils for the last 9 months : T3, PT, Fogger, KFL+, and Russian 91%. No problem. Well, I must have gone through 10 or more coils and just couldn't get them installed on the build deck. The kept twisting and deforming or wound up misaligned. Determined to make this work, I came up with this tool to hold the coils while I twisted their leads together and attached them.

Now I can have dual coils like the big boys (and girls) do.

double nano with 9 wraps of 0.5mm ribbon each. came out to 0.75 Ohms.

Wicked with cotton of course.

I had to set it up on my mediocre tobeco KFL+ clone with a full clear kit just so I could keep an eye on things. for safety. Alas, I am repeatedly thwarted by an every-tootwise set of blindingly thick haze of dense and tasty tootclouds. Perhaps I'll need to retire bathroomward and enjoy this newfangled excellence in front of the mirror. For safety....(wink).

Guys I love this build but my wife's zmax can't do low ohms.. using 28g wire how many wraps doing duel coils can I get that bad boy to 1.3ohms?

I don't think you will be able to do that with 28gauge. Without doing much math I would think you might need something like 2 15 to 20 wrap coils. That thing would take so long to heat up it would not be worth it. Try 32 gauge. I think you could get that with about two 8 wrap coils

I love this setup but I had to do it a little different. Instead of putting them across the deck with extra above the wick channels I put them lengthwise along the deck to where the last 2 or 3 wraps of each coil is above the screwposts. It seemed a little easier to set it up than the way the pics show it. But I did 12 wraps of 28 gauge on the mini screwdriver that comes with the atty. Comes out to 0.92 ohm. Not burning but warm and very dense clouds.
