Kayfun Lite Plus super tight draw

Hey,

After diving into the world of rda's I noticed that I couldn't vape with my KF normally anymore (semi-tight mouth to lung) so I tried to open up the airflow and let's say on a 5 second draw, I get a open'ish draw and it starts tightening pretty fiercely, on the second draw I get a dry hit. I took out the airflow screw and it's exactly the same, not open as I thought it would be.

I remember reading somewhere someone saying that there's a little ball inside the airflow that is there to prevent whistling and that it could be stuck, I am getting enormous whistling, it's terrible, so I took a picture of the hole. Could that be it? Is this tightening my airflow?

If you unscrew the center pin sometimes there is a little bit of plastic in there. I would completely disassemble the kfl and make sure there isn't anything in there.

Break her down and investigate. I don't know about a ball. Please let us know if you figure it out. Good luck.

The ball I think you're talking about is in the Russian style filler port, that looks like the kayfun Style that's filled from the bottom so it won't have one.

As others have said, break it down, remove the center pin and make sure everything is clear with no obstructions. Also check the center pin insulator, sometimes it can be a wee bit to tall and partially cover the hole on the center shaft.

When youre changing flavors or cleaning make sure you wash your center post thoroughly as juice can gunk up and dry up in the air shaft causing blockage. And make sure your coil is a good height above the air hole

That hole you're looking at is the airflow controller, I just removed the grub screw.
There's something green inside as you can see, don't know what that could be. I'll disassembly it tonight and see if there's anything in the centre pin. Also, does your KF whistle like MAD? I thought they fixed that on the 2014 revision...

Also, I do have the coil very high as on my first build it was muting the flavor because it was too low

The picture you showed us is of the green anti whistle ball. Take a small screw driver, flip your kayfun upsjde down and push that ball down gently. It became unseated from its normal position thus why youre getting whistling and random air flow blockage.

While it's not the same as your RDA's, try to build a chimney coil for the KF. I'm sold on the chimney coil. Opens up the draw a bit and really good flavor.

Well, I fixed the draw. The draw is perfect now. BUT, the whistling... oh my god the whistling is terrible... It's making me wonder if I should replace this with a Russian 91%... The flavor right now is just absolutely outstanding! The ball is still in there, I just poked it 200x with a needle trying to get it out, didn't work so it's just there but .......n this whistling
