Do you have a real KFL+ or a clone ?
If you look at mine there is actually about 1mm of space and the beauty ring can move ever so slightly

Hmm, it's the svoemesto ring I've got, and by a whisker it lifts the KFL+ just above the pin in the Provari. After the initial onset of grumpiness, I soon got used to the non-flush look and am very happy with the KFL sitting on a Provari. Works great.

Prior to receiving it, I'd read somewhere that it would be advisable to drop the nic strength. The advice was good. The KFL produces a much denser, and larger quantity of vapour - compared with the Protanks I'd been using. Because of this, I assume more nic is inhaled with each drag. Even at 12mg, it feels as though the nic hit is harder than with Protank/18mg. YMMV

Wish I had read that before buying 12mg juice. Never fails to punch my throat.

Yes, it's a real one. This shows how the ring sits proud from the Provari top cap, and hence lifts the KFL so it doesn't fire.

I've been using the Kayfun Lite + for about a week. Great flavor and dense vapor. I experienced the same lightheadedness on the first day due to not decreasing the nic level. I added some unflavored vg thereafter to dilute my usual 12mg e-liquid.

Today I noticed some flat flavor so figured it was time to replace the cotton wick. I ruined my original coil removing the old wick, so rebuilt it (I need the practice anyway.). Ended up with a 1.7 ohm microcoil for the Provari. I'm happy again.

Did you use a drill bit? What size and how many wraps? Kanthal gauge?

I'm going to build for my two lite +s soon and 1.7 ohm is my goal.

i just got mine the other day as well, and i'm loving this thing. it takes awhile to learn how to wick it properly to avoid dry hits, but after rebuilding 3 times i finally got it to how i want it.

just don't go too low on your ohms or you risk melting your insulator on the deck

i dunno about this. The insulator is pretty stout in mine. Currently rocking 5 wraps of 24 awg at i think around .54 but i dont remember. I've had this thing as low as .43 I have had no issues with melting or deterioration of my insulator. things a beast. takes a beating. I would imagine some clones out there have less durable materials... but even my tobeco variant (cheapest one i own) can handle some pretty low loads without melting.

I just bought the Hcigar Kayfun 3.1 and received it yesterday. Coming from "protank, evod, iclear 30(s), ibtanked, aerotank" country, I always wondered if it would be one of those "over-hyped" devices. Let's just say I'm so impressed, I'm looking into getting one of the originals.

The heat and flavor intensity is amazing. Too bad there is a learning curve, because this is the vape I've been waiting for since I started vaping. I build my own coils and experimented with "the octopus RBA", but the Kayfun is worlds away. Love it!

A few questions! Im looking to order the kfl lite from FT, i saw that link for using a kfl in drip mode. can the kfl lite do this? ive never owned a rda or rba but i understand them. But ide like to be able to drip with it and fill up the tank. using silica whats the best way to wick? ive seen people just having the silica through the coil then the ends down near the channels. and also seen people triple stacking the silica and then stuffing all the extra into the chimney thing. how do you do it? pictures would be great if you already have them!

Have you guys found the need to lower your nic level while using a Kayfun? After I got mine and used it I got a good case of nic sick. I haven't had that since I first started vaping years ago. Found I needed to cut my nic level in half.
Besides being a very good topper as far as taste and clouds it must be really efficient as well.

Yep and I wasn't chain vaping either. The Kayfun is the cure for my chain vaping. I use 6mg and now looking at vendors that carry 3mg.

Yes, you can technically drip with the KFL and Kayfun Nano. There is a way to assemble the parts into "drip mode" that removes the tank and it works like a dripping atomizer. But you do have to be careful, it wasn't really designed as a dripper so it's a bit easy to get liquid coming out the air hole.
